In store service was good. I was trying to order a drum for my office printer and the phone system was down in the store. I don't live in the town where the store is located so I couldn't return later to finish the transaction. They asked me to call back so they could put the charge on my credit card once the systems were repaired. I called back a few days later to complete the order. One person said I could only use a staples credit card (which I don't have) over the phone and I explained the manager that day said they would take my cc # since it was their problem not mine. The other person on the phone wouldn't even listen to what I was trying to say. I always try to shop "locally" because I know the jobs in these chains benefit the local folks who are employed there. After this experience, I will be ordering all of my online office materials...

Because the store is a good distance from where I live, I called 2 days ago to make sure that they had the bindings I wanted for the book I needed rebound and after waiting 10 minutes on hold, I was assured there were "plenty". I was also told that since i was breakig it down myself, it shouldnt take more than a couple of hours. I broke down my book today (because last time it took me a full day and 3 trips to the store to get my book broken down and bound) and then went to the store. I was told that it might be done today or maybe tomorrow and then they didn't have he bindings. to boot, the lady was rude until she didn't have the bindigs bindings and then she was super nice. Won't be giving any more...

I completely inept service employee. I tried to swipe my corporate card, and it wouldn't go through. This only happens at Staples. I asked them if they can enter the number manually. They refused and said that I cannot purchase the items with my corporate card because there are magnetic strip with not pick up the information off my card. So I ended up having to leave the store without the items I needed because they were too lazy or not trained well enough to enter the card number manually.
