My first experience here was traumatizing. I have been going back and forth on writing this review but have finally decided after sharing with others that I need to publicly post my experience. My original nail tech Christy left a previous salon that I was her client at for 5 years. She left and did not tell me where she was going but that she would let me know. I didnât know how long this would be so I looked for another nail tech in the meantime as I get my nails done every 3 weeks. I had reached out to her after hearing she was here at this salon now and realized my number was blocked! I texted her off of my husbands phone and she let me know she blocked me since I asked about other nail technicians while I wasnât aware where she was. Unprofessional but Iâve known her so long that I was willing to move past this. We sorted things out and I scheduled an appointment to come see her here, at this salon. I let her know I was going to be coming on my lunch break and I was getting this mani/pedi done because I was getting a surgery I would be bed ridden for some time. I get to the salon and she tells me she cannot do my nails, I thought maybe she had double booked or was running behind so I told her no problem. She told me someone else would do my nails, after waiting some time no one came up to me and I seen her sitting at her station on her phone doing nothing and I realized what had happened and that she was again being unprofessional again with me. I went to my car humiliated she would allow me to make an appointment with her just to tell me she was not doing my nails when I got there. I called the salon and she told me she was mad at me because I looked for another technician I explained to her this was a misunderstanding and she told me she told me the owner of would not allow her to do do my nails again, nor her husband Peter. She told me I could come back in and someone else would help me and so I did. I started to get a pedicure by another older man he cut my nails so short they were down to my nail beds and I was bleeding. I started crying in discomfort and the owner Tina came over there and asked if I was okay I told her no and I explained to her what happened. She had Christyâs brother while Christy would not acknowledge me finish my nails which was fine.
I from there on out started scheduling my appointments with Tina and had great experiences besides her wait times after appointments were scheduled. This was fine because I knew she was busy. The quality of the work from her started to decline and she started rushing more and more each appointment. She would have to stop doing my nails to go help others as she was the one who could do the best nail art and I always ended up having to be here for at least 2 hours. The last time I seen her I had her remove my gel set she had put on and she destroyed my natural nails with the drill she used to get them off. My natural nails are still recovering from this. They were so sensitive to hot and cold and were paper thin. This was devastating to me because I take pride in my natural nails. I am now going to a new salon that I have to pay more at and drive 30 additional minutes to get to but they take their time and have helped me get my natural nails back on track. I will not be...
Read moreI had been visiting Top Nails since August, specifically seeing Tony for a no-chip manicure about once a month. Initially, Tony was very patient and attentive to detail. However, his patience and attitude began to decline when I returned in November to have him fix my no-chip manicure just 24 hours after my initial visit. He had a nasty attitude about fixing my chipped nails, was rude, and even argued about it. Despite this, I decided to give him another chance, thinking he might have been having a rough day.
Fast forward to my visit last week for my monthly no-chip manicure, and it was the worst experience I had ever encountered. While filling my nails, Tony cut two of my cuticles with the machine, and despite telling him multiple times that it was hurting me and I was bleeding, he continued to file my nails.
Tony did a terrible job painting my nails with a no-chip nude color. I specifically asked him to fix my middle finger because it had a black speck in the middle, but he argued that it wasnât that bad. After asking him three times to please fix it, he finally complied. However, when I walked to my car and saw my nails in the sunlight, I noticed how poorly they were painted. They were not done on the sides, and there were tacky spots. The nails weren't painted all the way to the edges, exposing my clear acrylic overlay.
Since I didnât have time to return after spending over an hour there, I called to ask if I could come in the following day for Tony to fix them. The "manager" answered the phone and told me to come in the next day at 2:45 with Tony. When I arrived for my 2:45 appointment, the same manager informed me that I would have to wait because Tony was with another appointment. I asked why he would have another appointment if I had a scheduled time with Tony. He ignored my question and told me to wait, stating it would be a while. I explained that I didnât have time to wait, and he suggested that I could go to someone else.
Tina, who sits next to Tony, fixed two of my nails but wouldnât address the rest. While she was working on my nails, Tony repeated multiple times that they didnât need fixing and laughed. After Tina finished fixing my two nails, Tony told me that I should stop seeing him for nails and start going to Tina instead.
I am appalled by the level of unprofessionalism and rudeness, especially since I spend around $100 a month at Top Nails. I highly do not recommend this salon and will never...
Read moreUpdate: The salon is claiming I was never there which is a straight up lie. Itâs also laughable because they âchecked their recordsâ but didnât even ask for my name or information. I was in chair #12 with an 11am appointment. I have the confirmation via text before arrival. So you might want to check again. Just shows theyâre not a stand up business.
I had high hopes since this place was rated well. Was terribly disappointed and I wonât be back. I came in for a basic pedicure. It was the worst one Iâve ever had. The place was busy, I did make an appointment and I waited about 10 minutes for someone upon arrival. Which was fine and no big deal. The woman I had was very nice however, I was in and out of that chair in less than 15 minutes. She barely filed or spent time on my cuticles. Iâm not kidding she did 2-3 swipes with the pumice stone. The massage included was legit less than a minute and my child could have done better. The paint job was bad and you could tell she was rushing. My nails arenât fully covered with the clear coat. The woman next to me, who had her pedicure started before mine and I was done before her, even said âWhoa that was fastâ. I guess you have to pay for the upgraded pedicures to get a normal one I could have gotten down the street. I still canât get over how fast the pedicure was. I felt like I was just getting a polish change, it was so weird. Iâll drive the extra 10 minutes to go to the place I normally go that charges the same $35 for a much better job well done. The salon was clean but just very put off by...
