this may be premature because i don't actually have my phone back yet, but i got a call from Nick at this store saying it was on and working. yesterday (Sunday) i dropped my iphone in water. it was completely submerged for a few seconds. did a bunch of research online and most it MAY be repairable but not likely. went online and made an appt at the geek squad in Best Buy Merrillville because they offer same day repair. they couldn't even be bothered to check the phone out for me. just took it in back and looked to see if the liquid indicator in the sim card try was red (it wasn't but i did tell them what had happened) and told me i needed to replace the "entire unit"...sounded like a robot...he just did not give a **. anyway i heard verizon could dry your phone out, they are my carrier. had never been to this store. this sweet guy Nick looked at it and said he thought it was done, that it had surged, so i had very little hope. but he suggested i pay $29 and he would put it in this dryer for 90 minutes, that there was a very slight chance. he just called me and let me know that it worked and my phone is up and running. saved me $250 to pay off this phone and about $700 to buy a new one. if i'm ever stupid enough to drop my iphone in water again, i can bring it back here to be dried out at no charge. all my future cell phone business will be...
Read moreBe very careful when accepting "promotional" offers through this store. We upgraded 5 phones 4 of which we were supposed to get "free" and one I had to pay for because my sons phone was not eligible. I was told my bill would go down $20 with the updated plan. Our first bill was extremely high and we were told it was all the activation charges. My second bill was around what it should be. Our third bill jumped an additional $120. When we called we were told that was incorrect, that promotion didn't exist, and there was nothing they could do. We were also told if we wanted to shop around we would owe the full amount for all phones. Make sure you get everything in writing especially if you are at the end of a promotional offer. The sad part is the gentleman that helped us in the store was very customer orientated and now the question is did he purposely mislead us or is corporate not honoring their...
Read moreWorst service I have ever experienced at any Verizon. They don’t give you any options when it comes to buying the Apple Watch. They assume you want the oldest version (series 3), due to the fact that’s all they carry in store. Then when they ordered the new watch, they assumed I wanted the cheaper aluminum version instead of the stainless steel. THEN they NEVER called me when it arrived in store!!! When I called they told me to call Tommrow because it was locked the the safe where she couldn’t get!! They had 45 minutes until close there is no reason why I couldn’t have picked it up! I suggest going down the street 15 min to the corporate location where they know how to take care of...
