Avoid Jermaine at all costs. He asked me for a five-star review without working for it. He was very unprofessional and pushy in his sales tactics.
I had been insured with State Farm and in contact with Jermaine for a year, so I can say I was taken advantage of by him.
Jermaine exploited my lack of knowledge when I was looking to buy my first auto insurance policy and stumbled upon this State Farm office in my neighborhood. As a foreigner, the American insurance system was overwhelming. Instead of educating me, he tricked me into buying renter’s and life insurance when my only intention was auto insurance. My landlord did not require renter’s insurance, and I did not need life insurance either; but Jermaine insisted that all of those insurances were required if you live in the U.S. — “That’s how it’s supposed to be.”
Jermaine did not follow up on my inquiry. My friend wanted to add me to her auto insurance policy to see if there were any savings. However, there was no way to get a quote from the State Farm website in this situation, as we were both insured with State Farm but with different agents. She contacted Jermaine via email to get quotes on different coverage limits. He responded briefly without many details. When she followed up asking for more information, he never replied again.
Jermaine never respected my preferred method of communication. I told him many times over the year that I preferred to communicate via email because he always called me when I was in class, making it impossible for me to take the call. I asked him to send me an email instead, but he failed to do so every time.

During my transition from Liberty Mutual to Bradford O’Neil-Statefarm has been a disaster. Giffin the agent along with Kelly the Account Manager Provided poor customer service. I was suppose to get reimbursed over $2000 that StateFarm accidentally had taken from my escrow account. While I was making monthly payments for my homeowners insurance, Kelly the Account Manager kept giving me the run around for 3 consecutive months stating that they were going to reimburse my mortgage account and NOT SEND the check directly to the homeowner (unheard of) Kelly didn’t return my calls for updates, sent me unprofessional text messages from her PERSONAL PHONE that she was busy, with other clients and that they were short staff. After 3 months with no reimbursement, I was beyond dissatisfied with the service. I decided to transfer agents, which was the best decision. David Oberwise- Statefarm team was amazing.
