I was at this location at approximately 12:30 pm today and witnessed what I perceived to be poor management skills on behalf of who I believed to be the manager on duty. One of the employees accidentally scanned an item twice. And as in most cases, requires a manager to come and remedy the problem. The manager came from the back stock room (definitely let the employee that is where she came from-in a rude way) and proceeded to berate the employee in front of a bunch of customers about coming to fix the error. That discussion should have been handled away from customers in a one on one setting. It was an honest mistake that could have happened to anyone. After fixing the problem, she did open up a register because the line was long. However, she had to close down again because the same employee had an issue with the same customer that required the manager to suspend the order and take off item(s) that the customer did not want. The manager did apologize to us in line that it would take some time to do this (good thing). Whether there was another employee in the store who could have taken over the register, I don't know because I decided to leave. Tell your manager to work on her...

I had almost $200 in my pocket and went in to get a half gallon of milk and some pop-tarts for a quick breakfast. I'd picked up a vitamin water which I promptly put back on the shelf because it wasn't cold at all. She kept making rude gestures at me and looking at my coat."Ms. G" should be fired and reprimanded for her rude behavior towards customers. I even offered to open my coat but she refused! Now it's just as bad as times. FAST FWD - 2024: So now, 8/10 employees that work here are rude, obnoxious, lack the respect needed for the customer service and themselves, and treat people poorly inside and out of the building. The only employees that seem to enjoy their job, treat customers with kindness and respect, and work hard are the kind lady that also works at McDonald's and the man that was working here last night. Some things I will NOT tolerate are rudeness and being talked to like I'm a prisoner in jail or did something wrong, so at this point I don't think I'll be a return customer at this Dollar General store. Lady was extremely rude and basically shouted this info at me from across the store loud enough for me to hear it from just outside the locked door.
To me, DG is a store for last minute purchases and one-offs. Tried telling her I just came for milk, and I’m paying card, so you won’t even need to recount your cash. She just shouted more and hit me with “we’re closed, we’re closed, we’re closed”.
I’m so over the trend of employees deciding to close up an essential establishment like DG whenever they feel like it. Ofc when I told her I’d be taking a picture to send a complaint she looked away. God forbid there’s accountability.
