I searched very hard for a place to get a first time beard trim. This place had great reviews so I thought why not try them. I booked an appointment with Leek the barber. I had no intention of getting my hair touched at all. I have spent the last 6 years grooming and growing my hair. I never let anyone touch my hair as a rule because they never do what you ask. I explained in great detail about protecting my long beautiful hair and he said he understood and my hair was so soft and beautiful. Heās said he could do a trim and get any split ends and so fearful of past experiences I said ok, and the butchering began. Never once did he face me to the mirror during this. He took all of the length of my hair away and somehow thought it was ok. When I realized what had just happened, it was too late. He had the guts to say well itās ok you can just not pay if your are unhappy, the problem lies in itās not Ok you canāt just put the hair back. To some this may be no big deal but in my life it also took a piece of my spirituality with it as everything becomes part of you. I hope this horrible experience will be a warning for those who follow. Never again will I trust or use a Barber or hair stylist or whatever they want...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreREAD Update: blatant lying (20 min late ?) in the response, called me later in the evening like a child attempting to charge a $60 cancellation fee (vindictive business). Itās not a āno showā or ācancellationā if I denied your service to your face (4:15 appt, arrived 4:22 due to awful directions over the phone and walking from distant parking). Yes, Abraham, you have a disinterested and unfriendly attitude at the end of your shift. You proved my point by calling me after hours trying to SCAM me for doing ZERO work (LAZY). If you donāt even value your craft, customers most definitely shouldnāt either. Immature and amateur business. *CHECK PHOTO to see the voicemail that Abraham graciously left me last night. *Watch out the 5 star reviews are confirmation bias āā Abraham - poor attitude as I was trying to find his place (no sign), which made me a few min late. Very stale tone over the phone and gave such useless directions that I ended up in the wrong spot. Upon arrival, he looked like I was forcing him to cut my hairā¦as if Iām not paying him to do it. And I planned to tip well for the delay.
I turned around and left quick, not worth putting your look in the hands of an unfriendly barber with a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKhararr is more than just a barber, or maybe more appropriately he carries on a true sense of what it is to be a barber. He is a wonderful person who genuinely cares about his clients and also happens to be really adept at cutting hair. I first met Khararr when my wife and I had taken a huge leap and moved to STL from ABQ, NM after getting though a really difficult time. He was one of a number of people who helped me feel truly welcome to this amazing city; while also taken great care to give me one of, if not the best hair cut Iāve ever had. He pays high attention to detail both when it comes to cutting hair and to his clients lives, and it all adds up to a wonderful experience. I could not more highly...
