Food is overpriced for quality that was received. $8 for 2 oz of sauce, small serving of rice. I understand keeping expensive portions like meat reasonably sized but fries and rice are cheap and bulk up meals. Definitely too small to share. Quality and portion size has gone down over the past few years. Last time we ordered the rice was stale and we only got 4 fries with our Lomo :( customer service is consistently horrible and the server is a jerk every time??? Food used to keep us coming back for being the only option in STL city but won’t anymore. Save your money and get Peruvian food from Jalea in st Charles instead. The photo attached is $40+ worth of food. Wanted to give an update since I had the ‘pleasure’ of going here again with friends recently and it was the same. Unfortunately the server acts like you’re an inconvenience and hates his job and will basically ignore you. Food can be decent but is so dramatically overpriced for what you receive. Do not plan on sharing. Flavor is good but customer service experience is super disappointing and portions are frustrating. I don’t want to spend $100 and leave hungry

I usually don’t like writing reviews but I felt that this deserved one starting from service our waiter was fenomenal very attentive and cheerful, he made us feel welcomed took great care of us from beginning to end not to mention he prepared very fun and refreshing cocktails for us We had the empanadas colombianas and a papa rellena for appetizers very delicious highly recommend As for our dinner I had the aji de gallina and my friend had the ropa vieja both dishes were very traditional and authentic to our Peruvian roots If you love a fun atmosphere great service and delicious food highly recommend this place

I always appreciate seeing peruvian food on the menu. I tried their Ceviche and Ají de Gallina. I was disappointed with both. The ceviche was not fresh, the dish came out within minutes of me ordering it (a bit too quickly) and tasted like the fish had been sitting in the lime (leche de Tigre) for some time. Not sure if it was premade. The ají de gallina was better, but didnt really have its classic taste; very nutty and not cheesy. I wish I could have tasted the Ají Amarillo base for this dish but it tasted more like a nutty squash sauce. I little overpriced in my opinion, spent $50 on both of this dishes.

Becareful when you order online, when checking out, the system will automatically check the 20% tip box. If you call in an order for pickup they charge you 10% tip, they told me because of the takeout service. The alfajores were very small for the price they charged, there were only 3 of them. I told them that I. As going to pick up the order at 4 35 pm I had placed the order at 3 pm. When I picked it up at 4 45, the food was cold. I payed over 100 dollars for two people and my take out does not show it. I had to check the bag because they did not put in any eating utensils. I had to ask for them. The Aji that I order for the anticuchos was not the Aji for anticuchos, Peruvians know what aji goes with anticuchos. They gave me Pico de Gallo, when I asked about the aji they told me that this was the aji. Very disappointing, anywhere I go I try to find Peruvian food, we brag about having the best food in the world but when you find a place like this it is very disappointing because it harms the Peruvian cuisine. The alfajores were good, but too high of a pice for to only be 3 and small. Papa a la Huancaina was good, was spicy. It had a fourth of an egg, potatoes lettuce. The olive was a joke it was a sliver of an olive and it was not the Peruvian olive, Alfonso. You can find the Peruvian olives locally. Please by a jar and place a whole olive, not a sliver. Tje empanada only had beef sauted in onions. It had an option to add other ingredients, I assumed that optional would be things other than eggs, olives, raisins. That this would be standard. Nope you had to ask for these items and they charged you for it, so ur basic empanada was around 5.50 and the if you wanted eggs and raisins and olives, well you pay more for it. The anticuchos were not bad, but it did not include any of the sides such as potatoes or sauce. You had to add and pay for it. I did ordered aji de galling, it had a sliver of an olive, two pieces of walnut. Wonder if they had any walnuts in the actual dish. It did come with potatoes and rice this...

Food was ok but the last 2 times Ive been there the server (a male mid 40s, short, chubby guy) was rude and doesn't check on the tables. He brings you the food, the drinks, and leaves you to die until he brings you a check with the gratuity already added. We could see him playing in his phone sitting on the bar and not caring about us the entire time we were there. It says in the menu that they add gratuity to big parties of people but the last times I was there it was only 2 of us. Don't get me wrong Im a great tipper 30% plus but when I have what I describe as the worse service Ive ever had and the waiter doesn't do his job then they force a tip down your throat after being neglected the whole time you were there thats just disrespectful to the customer. It felt like the waiter hated us and it isn't ok to make customers feel that way when they are patronizing your restaurant. Ive been told by other friends of mine and even read at other google reviews that a lot of people have had the same exact experience with the same waiter. I don't know how a person that creates such negative google reviews and bad experiences to a lot of clients can still be employed there. I figured he is probably part owner or very tied with the owner and if she is aware of this and hasn't fire the person, or she is in it too. Ive also heard that the bad treatment applies only to other Latino/Hispanic clients because he assumes that because they are Latino he is not going to get a good tip or that they just don't wanna service other Latino/Hispanics and that obviously isn't right at all. Ive heard all kinds of stories about this place because I run a business that has a huge Latino/Hispanic clientele. If they are doing this here it creates l racial profiling problem against the local Latino/Hispanic community. If you look at their google reviews there is a pattern of Latino/Hispanic names all getting the same experience. Whatever it is I will not go back and neither will I ever recommend anyone...

The service was terrible. After being seated (they pointed at the table we had reserved and walked away), we had to get the waiter's attention to get drinks (we waited and didn't seem to be getting service anytime soon before trying to get the waiter's attention and it was not very busy). It took forever to get drinks, and when we got them, they were not good. When we finally got to order appetizers, we tried to also order our meals, since everything seemed to be taking a long time, but the waiter walked away before we even had a chance to say what we wanted. Not sad about it because we decided that we would just pay our bill and leave, since they clearly didn't want us there. The waiter spent most of his time leaning against the bar chatting with a buddy. The flavors of the apps were good, so I'm sad we didn't get to try more Peruvian food, because I think the food would have been really yummy, but we didn't want to stay in a place that didn't want us there. We were out for a double date night with friends and were looking to have a fun evening. When you have to work to get anything brought to the table, it's not fun anymore. Also, it cost $100 for 4 drinks and 4 apps, which I'm still trying to wrap my head around, since the apps were mostly in...
