The plus sized dark skinned cashier with the long ,black ,straight lacefront (long edges) hairstyle never greets me. Her demeanor is bad. I go into this location more than once a week and she has never greeted me. Ever. Today was my second visit this week and she simply scanned my items with no eye contact. I brought my items up to the belt in a box. I sat that box in the cart and started placing my items inside of the box while she was scanning them and she continued to throw them down in the cart around my box. The considerate thing to do would be to put them in the box as you see that your customer is doing to display good customer service. She lacks it. Badly. She never even stated the total of my order to me. Just passed me my receipt. So quit! Work from home if you dont want to do your job completely , which is greeting customers and being nice instead of rude...
Read moreYou can’t use the restrooms here. I was here at 4 pm and the store stays open until 7pm. They are using a common practice predominantly used in urban communities where they take your bag or back upon entering and they close the bathrooms early as to say, “You cannot be trusted” . This is part of the reason why I do not like to shop in my community. Companies that use these practices are perpetuating negative ideas about the people in this community. Who happened to be their shoppers. If I am shopping here and my child or myself cannot go to the restroom, this is a huge problem! Furthermore, it is off brand for even your business. Nowhere have I seen this except for in communities that are predominantly black! We don’t want businesses with these sort of practices in our community What do you have security for, if you cannot watch people who are stealing or misusing...
Read moreI went to Aldi this morning to pick up a few items. I got there early as did several other customers. We were all African American. The security guard told us it would be 10 min before we could come in. That was fine until a Caucasian arrived at the store and was allowed to enter early. The rest of us were sitting in our cars. I assumed he was an employee. When myself and another young man asked the store manager about this, we were told that he was a customer and he apologised for the “inconvenience”. That was down right discrimination !! He further told me that he was going to “speak to the guard” who happen to be white too !!!Now people wonder why Black folks get upset. Really. This should never be allowed !!! I will never visit that store again and will tell everyone willing to listen. I am going to also follow up with the...
