La Finca Coffee is an absolute gem 💎.
Despite the fact La Finca has an incredibly pleasing ambiance, with authentic art and displays, it dawns local newspapers, which is always a plus at a coffee stop. Mostly cuz I get bored waiting for my drank and I don’t like to be on my phone in public, so gotta pick up that paper to prove a lil something to strangers.
Seating is cozy, roomy, and as with any coffee shop, limited. I usually come here for coffee (sue me) and I used to be a black coffee only person and now this place has me hooked on $8 20oz raspberry mochas and I’m not mad. I’m not even mad La Finca. I couldn’t be mad at you. Because who has 20oz coffee anymore besides big chains?? No one!!!! Lil ass coffee shops don’t do it like this but La Finca does !! My raspberry mocha with whole milk slaps every. single. time. They must have some kinda jersey cow out back or something bc that milk does nothing to my small intestine. And the coffee is 🤌
Plus, the people who work here are real asl, too. I’ve been here a couple of times and each time I’ve walked in, I swear they tailor the music to the people in the room. For example, if there’re hella old heads in the room, the staff considers this, which I think is respectful. Plus, they are so patient. As I mentioned before, there are often many older persons in this establishment, and persons stoned on a Sunday afternoon, which is a customer base that takes a certain amount of patience to manage. This staff not only manages it, but excels with customer service and satisfaction. They’re sweet, patient, and always adorable. Whoever is doing the hiring and the working is doing it well, next time I go in imma make sure they’re getting paid right otherwise I’ll take this review down 🙏 but they seem happy in their positions.
It’s taste in La Finca, it’s class in La Finca. Drank always aesthetic, vibe always immaculate, character never questionable, newspaper always local .. I’m about my La Finca. I rock...
Read moreLa Finca has always been at the top of my list of coffee shops to take people to, to come to right after school. But something changed after they closed for a couple of weeks. No more usual hours, no more absolutely amazing and now familiar baristas like Hollie, Noah. Today's experience for the first time in two years was absolutely terrible for me as a regular customer and made me reconsider my attitude to La Finca. I came there after college to get three large lattes before going to the doctor. I waited for over ten minutes for them to start making it, although there was only one couple in front of me - a new barista decided to talk to customers right before making my latte. I told the cashier at the register, whom I saw for the first time, that I was in a hurry because I have a doctor's appointment. She started making the latte, taking all three 16 oz cups. As someone who gets a large latte here every week, I know what a 20 oz cup looks like. I told her about it and she assured me that these cups are Large and the smaller ones are only 12 oz, although La Finca always had 20/16/12 oz sizes. I am attaching to my review a picture of two different cups - from LaFinca and Teleo Coffee. The latter do not have 20 oz, only 16, and as you can see in this photo the cups are the same size. I am not so disappointed that I paid money for a larger latte and received less, but that I was assured that I was wrong about the sizes and I was deceived. I was late to the doctor, received three wrong lattes and am no longer sure that I want to return to my...
Read moreLa Finca Coffee is a delightful gem of a coffee house. I've now been to both of their locations (Eureka and the Grove) and love the atmosphere at both locations.
If you're a bookworm, I highly recommend grabbing a delicious coffee or my favorite La Finca Mocha and curling up in one of the chairs by the electric fireplace.
There is a lot of amazing natural light, a convenient gender neutral bathroom, and space for solitary patrons or a few tables for groups. La Finca has delicious 😋 pastries (my parents absolutely adored the bread pudding).
Fantastic service and friendly staff with amazing artwork and a convenient location make this my favorite coffee shop in the Grove. The baristas go above and beyond shout out to Kristian, Jordan, Faudia, Jack, Erica, Bridget and Tola for being so awesome and dealing with my random coffee questions and inane babbling before I'm fully caffeinated.
Try the La Finca Mocha hot it's the best Mocha I've ever had. They also go through the work of making latte art, which I totally appreciate.
It's the best coffee shop in the Grove and my favorite...
