Wow sooo glad I dodged a bullet renting from this place . I’m straight getting harassed to pay for something that I never bought. I get the first call was a mistake . But to be called 2 days. 🤦🏻♀️ . “ Mrs Fabian JUST WANTING TO KNOW WHEN YOUR GOING TO BE HERE TO PAY YOUR NEXT PAYMENT? 😳. So I originally Went into this store 1 week 1/2 ago Looking for a sectional and bedroom set. The man couldn’t tell me much about anything . Couldn’t even give me a price . I am assuming people just rent and worry about the full price later . He could not answer anything . It was like trying to pull teeth getting a question answered. I went in on a Friday . He said he had to approve me . So I was going to go The next day ( Saturday) and pay for the first 2 weeks . Even tho I still at this point didn’t know the total price and only saw the mattress and dresser . Didn’t see the headboard and footboard. They said they would not be able to deliver until the following Tuesday . After I got home and realized it would be around $800 per month for 18 months . I realized how stupid I would be. Plus Way fair had a similar sectional regular $590. For $390. And a few other ones that were a little more. Saturday the next day I got a call asking why I haven’t paid my payment . They said it was late . Wait ! I never got any furniture. The lady said well I’ll look into it and call you back. She never did . Then today a man called rude again asking where was my payment . Both were rude. Oh and by the way.i was in the middle of working both times . So I can tell they are use to be very assertive and rude towards people that are late with their payments . That is if I was late 🤷🏻♀️ or had any furniture at all !!!!!!!!When I told the man he got an attitude and says he didn’t know. Well , does anyone know at all what is going on at that store?????Because I don’t think they do. Moral of the story be careful . There isn’t anything wrong with renting furniture. We do what we have to do . And if the sales person would have been interested in answering my questions I would have bought this furniture. So happy I dodged a bullet tho. Kingshighway store picked out items to be delivered , signed an agreement electronically, the worker tells me thanks your squared away, ask me when is the next time you bet paid so start your payment then. Mind you nothing has been delivered and normally they charge you a 12 dollar processing fee but informs me that the the fee would be added to my first payment . I have two separate items so my fee added would be like 24 & some change. I was set for delivery on 1/20/25. When I tell you they started calling me for a payment on 1/17, I replied my first payment isn’t for a 2 more weeks I have even got the merchandise yet, which was explained by the YT dude . Oh ok sorry miscommunication on our end . Cool. Not cool. These folk continued to call me multiple times everyday all weekend except Sunday. I get a call Monday morning 1/20/25 the day I’m scheduled for delivery. I said” I haven’t even gotten my stuff yet. Oh yea sorry for the miscommunication, woke me up out my sleep too. I hang up and call back, I ask “ Am I still scheduled for delivery today. Awww so you didn’t sign one of the forms ( That I was told I completed and I was all set up for delivery). These people will harass you about some over priced furniture and the crazy thing is , y’all blowing me up about furniture I don’t have that I technically didn’t even agree to acquire is bad professionalism, lack of customer service, like y’all couldn’t even secure me as a customer but treated me like a customer who was trying to keep y’all property, whole time I’m not even a customer.Thanks Rent One for helping me dodge...
Read moreEdit - Your sales Assistant Manager is horrible. Perfect pay history on AutoPay for months. She set me up incorrectly from the jump, but it’s cool because my wife was working. Wife loses her job, now I’m off my pay cycle and she’s asking me to pay 4 weeks? She claims to know about RTO, but as a Store Manager in RTO for nearly a decade, I know how the process works, and picking up the merch of a customer with a solid history of renting TWICE at this location, the fact that a courtesy extension can’t be honored is terrible. Go to RAC if you want better service, or hire a respectable sales manager that won’t answer the phone on speaker in the office to discuss an account or won’t talk over someone. At least I called to inform what was happening. I’m just about done with this store and company. Not to mention her screwing up my same as cash payout for my living room set.
Had a delivery scheduled between 11AM-1PM. You’d imagine the first delivery of the day would be on time, right? Nope. Not even a courtesy call to inform me that they are running behind. Very frustrating, especially when you have obligations outside of waiting for a delivery. As someone who managed Rent to Own stores for nearly 8 years, I can tell you that communication is KEY. They expect customers to communicate, but it’s a 2 way street. Off to a rough start already…
Edit - the delivery guys did a great job and came at the future agreed upon time. Only minus is they forgot something at the store, but it’s small so I can pick it up. Thanks to Johnnie for staying in touch during the delay and working hard to make sure my furniture...
