My husband and I visited the Sterling Heights store last night Tuesday January 28, 2025 around maybe 6:30 7 pm. We had some Amazon returns, and knowing I was going to receive a coupon I wanted to look around at the great clearance deals! We were in the store for a bit and witnessed a shoplift pursuit, the store employees, security and law enforcement handled it in the best most professional way possible. I’m not going to lie I was a bit nervous while it was happening because I did not know the extent of the crime unfolding, but the staff and officers were alert and paying attention to every detail while doing their best not to alarm customers. I wanted to point out that every store employee we came in contact with were extremely helpful, polite, and caring, I didn’t get everyone’s name but I want to give everyone working last night at Kohls store #0010 a gold star! There were 3 ladies up front, extremely friendly and informative about the benefit of using my kohls card, the sales going on all while calming our nerves with the situation at hand. Rani B checked me out, she was such a delight. So were the other women up front, I was so glad there were such helpful and kind women at the cash registers, and I didn’t not have to go to a soulless blank uncaring self check out machine!!!!!! I can not emphasize that enough! After that great experience we stopped into Sephora, I have recently survived a terrible accident and have a terrible scar on my face, Alyah (forgive me if I spelled her name incorrect) Was so helpful, I asked her about different products and she guided me through some options, she genially cared about my questions and concerns and was a pleasure to have assisting me. I have not experienced this kind of customer service in a long time from any business, I really hope these wonderful ladies and gentleman that were working in the store at the time we came in get the credit and recognition they deserve. Thank you again team Kohls #0010!! You have put my faith back into in person shopping and quality service at a retail store!...
Read moreAt 7:40 Pm on 11/21/2024 I came into Kohls to return some things from Amazon. The lady working the amazon returns was named Dawn. The first thing I noticed about Dawn is she never looked at me once, never greeted me, never said a word just looked down at her scanning device. I put my first item and she scanned my barcode and said something very quickly that I couldn’t understand. Assuming everything was fine I put down my next item and showed her my next barcode to which she again said something very quickly. I replied , “what” and she proceeded to yell straight into my face “THIS IS NOT MY LABEL THIS IS WHOLE FOODS I CANT TAKE THIS” and i am not exaggerating at all when i say she YELLED. This was completely unprovoked and uncalled for as I was completely unaware what she had said as she said it under her breath very quickly. There was also not a single person behind me in line so she was not busy at all. Once I fixed the label to go through Kohls instead, she could not get my label to print and called another woman over to help her. She continued to snap at me and continuously demanded me to reshow her the label but instead of politely asking, she yelled “THE LABEL” even in front of another coworker and a manager who was very close by that I later spoke to. I am a 16 year old girl and this was a GROWN woman. The audacity to speak to someone like that, ESPECIALLY a customer is beyond me and I can only hope no other customers have to endure that. I was physically shaking after my interaction as I’ve never in my life been spoken to that way by a stranger whom I absolutely did nothing wrong to and the only word i had said to this lady was “what?” Dawn was EXTREMELY rude to me, it was as if it was her first day ever working customer service and as if she was unaware how to be anything other than rude. Read moreI usually only come here for the amazon drop off. Every time i come here, there is an older gentleman working amazon who is MISERABLE and RUDE. I never catch his name but wow is he something else. One of the times i was standing in a pretty long line and the entire 20 minutes this guy wouldn’t stop complaining about the amount of boxes and it honestly seemed like he hated his job. The customer infront of me was next up and just so happened to get this guy and the employee didn’t even say hi how are you, he immediately said i need the QR code. The customer said can you give me a second please ? He completely sensed this employee was being rude not only because of the interaction he just had but because he also just spent the last 20 minutes listening to this guy complain. Fast forward to this past Sunday night , i have a pretty big box and i have my cousin helping me carry it. This same gentleman who works amazon just so happened to be by the front doors and instead of asking if we needed help he says “yep that’s definitely not gonna fit back there...ughhh” and then walked away. I just shook my head and said to my cousin this guy is like this EVERYTIME!!! He sighed at the fact I was returning a large box. Thats your job! My cousin and I carried the box to the back amazon location and were met with a wonderful lady who showed us where to set it and wouldn’t you know it fit perfectly where she need it to go!! She was so kinda and friendly. I don’t understand the issues with the gentleman. I dont get how he gets away with being so rude to customers.
