Had an horrible experience at the JCPenney Beauty inside of JCPenneys. As soon as I walked in , the cashier did not greet me. But instead, decided to follow me around the store. Anytime I walked to a different area of the store she was right there following behind me. After a while, customers started to come into the JCPenney Beauty however, she still made sure she kept a close eye on me SPECIFICALLY. She never followed any of the other customers around the store which, made me think that I was being targeted and racially profiled. I noticed she went over to the register and made a phone call. After she made the phone call about 2-3 minutes later this guy comes into the store and IMMEDIATELY starts staring at me, acting as though he’s a customer. I noticed every isle I was in, he was right behind me, just like the cashier was doing when I first entered the store. So, I purposely went into different areas of the store to see if he would follow me and there he was tracing right behind me. That made me feel extremely uncomfortable so, I proceeded to put the items that I was going to purchase back on the shelf.
As I was walking out the store, I noticed the guy following me ( was told his name was YaYa) and the cashier conversing. That made me very suspicious and skeptical. The guy exist the store maybe 30 secs or so after me, I then approached him and expressed how he and the cashier made me extremely uncomfortable following me around the store. I asked if he worked at JCPenney and he proceeds to say he’s “security “ and that he was “observing the cameras and decided to pop in” . He then expresses that around the holidays people are known for stealing and fraudulent activities. Which to me seemed as though he was implying that I was stealing? Even if you believe that an individual is being suspicious, there’s different protocols and procedure measures that you take to handle the situation. That was very unprofessional, unscrupulous, and unethical.
I spoke with a manager and she took my contact information saying she will put the complaint into the system and her supervisor will contact me the following day. No one has YET reached out to me about this matter. I’ve called and left a voicemail to the supervisor (Tara) but, to no avail STILL no correspondence. At this point, I will never go back to this JCPenney location, I was clearly discriminated against and felt as though I was being racially profiled, racially stereotyped, and targeted purposely because of...
Read moreThis store wasn't too bad. The prices weren't that great for the quality of some of the furniture, but they did have a decent sized selection.
However, I'm giving this a two-star review just for the lack of knowledge the sales representatives had and just their unprofessional behavior.
My boyfriend and I wanted to stop in and see what kind of furniture this JC Penny actually carried and were surprised at how much was actually at the location. However, one of the sales representatives turned quite rude as soon as we announced that we weren't looking to purchase anything (as we had no idea what we would find and wanted to look around first), we were just interested in the inventory. All representatives then avoided us completely for almost the entire time. Not one came to see us to ask if we had any questions about the products. Now, compared to Art Van, this is something most would consider a blessing, but they avoided us like the plague.
It wasn't until I found a VERY nice mattress that I had every intention of actually purchasing that the sales rep actually came up to speak with me. When I asked her for more information on the mattress (as there wasn't anything actually attached to the mattress, no name, no price... nothing), she said they currently didn't have anything for the mattress since they just received it in the store. And that is completely understandable, so instead I asked her questions about the mattress (since hopefully no company would send new products without first sending information to their employees) and she told me that she didn't understand why I was asking these questions because "mattresses don't have specs." ... ... To which I replied, "Yes they do. What kind of memory foam is on the top? What kind of springs are in the bottom portion? What kind of fabric is the top wrapped in?" And instead of fessing up to the fact that she didn't know the specifications, she literally turned around and WALKED AWAY FROM ME! Needless to say I left the store immediately.
So, thanks, but no thanks. I will be making my purchases elsewhere that actually has staff that know the products they're selling or at least has the decency to tell me "I don't know," which, by the way, is much more honorable than just walking away from...
Read moreCustomer service is very poor quality at Both Rosevile and lakeside jewelry counters they barely knowledge the customers that are standing around the counter, looking for help . I Went to buy a watch …my first bad experience was at the Roseville location where I was left, standing around the counter for quite some time to the point that I just left and drove all the way to the other location . Once I arrived there was my next bad experience, The older bond lady at lakeside mall at the jewelry counter is extremely RUDE!!! I asked to try on a watch and she says me well I would have to take the box apart for you to try it on. Isn’t there one out there that you can try am I simply said no they’re all in boxes I need the box removed since I have a small rest I need to try on the watch before I buy it.. then she said the scissors are over there very rudely so I immediately followed her thinking that’s what I was supposed to do it trying to watch I wanted to buy. Then she said I’ll have to repackage everything if you don’t buy them well clearly I’m not going to buy three watches. I want to buy one and I want to try it on before I buy it to make sure if it’s my small wrist then she slammed her hand on the counter with three tapes like I’m some child in school basically telling me to get over there quickly… extremely unprofessional on her end and terrible customer service she needs to be retrained if they want to keep customers because I will never go back to that store again and deal with such a rude angry worker. I really wanted to ask for her supervisor, but I think she’s already having a bad day since she’s having a bad attitude and she’s in a bad mood and she told me she should not take it out on me whatever that supposed to mean obviously she knew she was at fault.! if you are looking for quality customer service and a pleasant experience when shopping for jewelry or watches, I recommend you go to a real jewelry store and don’t waste your time with someone that will not treat you nice as a customer . I will be calling customer service and speaking to a live agent as well as I kept my receipt which has her...
