My recent visit to Secret Haute Couture was, regrettably, a deeply disappointing experience. Our party of eight traveled all the way from Chicago to Michigan with the intent of shopping for multiple dresses. We were filled with anticipation and optimism, unfortunately, our experience did not live up to these expectations due to the unprofessional customer service we received.
Upon our arrival, rather than receiving a warm welcome or polite acknowledgment, we were met with a dismissive attitude from the staff. A gentleman at the store remarked, "All eight of you coming to see one dress only?" Even after clarifying that we intended to shop for multiple dresses, his response was laughter, followed by an unsettling disregard for our presence.
Addressing this attitude, I mentioned that we had come a significant distance from Chicago and deserved better treatment. Sadly, this did not seem to change the approach of the staff. What was meant to be a joyful shopping trip turned into an uncomfortable and disheartening experience.
I had heard about poor customer service at Secret Haute Couture, but I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, my experience only confirmed these reports. As a potential customer, I felt dismissed and disrespected, which is far from the experience one would expect from a boutique of this stature.
In light of this experience, I strongly recommend that potential shoppers consider other options. Customer service is an integral part of the shopping experience, and from my experience, Secret Haute Couture has much room for improvement in this area. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, something that was noticeably lacking...
Read moreTHIS MAN WALKED IN ON MY MOM WHILE SHE WAS CHANGING! After I had finished trying on a dress (a poor quality dress, may I add), my mom went in right after me to try one on for herself. As I waited outside the curtain for my mom, the store owner walks towards the dressing room that I was in to retrieve the dress I had tried on. I immediately tried stopping him by VERY LOUDLY saying “someone is changing in there”. I repeated these exact words 3 times. He ignored and blew past me and opened the curtain to find my mother mid CHANGING!!!!! This was such a traumatic and horrible experience. He did not even have the decency to apologize. He turned to me and shouted “I want your dress” (the dress I had tried on). I replied “you’ll get your dress, you need to be patient and respectful when there are people changing in there”. This man is in the WRONG business as he has 0 customer service and no regard for human beings in general. He is very rude, judgemental and dismissive. My mother in law was also with me and liked a particular dress and he refused to let her try it on after asking to see her body. “Let me see your body” were his exact words. Then he refused to let her try it on under the assumption that it would not fit her. God, this man is awful. Never in my life have I experienced this level of garbage customer service. His dresses are low quality. (Threads hanging, polyester fabric and no zippers). You are not missing out on anything. I...
Read moreConsistent with other reviews, my biggest problem with this store is plus size shaming! When we politely asked if there's a plus size of a dress they said this is the biggest they could go to, otherwise they'd have to "order a parachute!" This left my mother very sad and hurt. Moreover, I wear a size M and when I was holding a dress the owner looked at me and said "it won't fit!" They didn't even proceed to help me find my fit. I tried going there twice and unfortunately same experience! The owners are always on their phones and have no interest in customers.. unless they're loaded! The clothes are nice but please if you want customers you should consider their feelings and be more...
