Off 7 Bowling Pro Shop — Local services in Sterling

I'm a pretty casual bowler, always using house balls and shoes, but finally decided to get my own equipment. I did some research about bowling balls beforehand (construction, cores, grips, etc). Walked into this shop and let them know what I was interested in, but that I hadn't had my own equipment before. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They made a fantastic effort, asked questions to determine what I was looking to get out of my equipment, took the time to explain the differences between grip types, ball construction and shoes, and took the time to answer any questions I had. Once measurements were taken, carefully and methodically, they had my choice of ball drilled up very quickly, and took the time to adjust the fit. They also took the time to demonstrate proper technique, and had me practice several releases right there in the shop to ensure that I got it. Extremely friendly, knowledgable, patient and swift. I get the sense that this is a passion for them, not just a job. Will absolutely be heading back to this shop for my bowling supplies/equipment...

I went to see Mr. Lopez otherwise known as Gee after another shop totally messed up my ball. I said well I guess I need to buy a new ball. He quickly told me no and plugged and re-drilled it. So much better but I needed one more tweak in the thumb took it back in and said well I guess this time I need a new ball. No you don’t he remeasured we had agreed to take a little more out of the thumb when he did it for me and it turned out to be too much. He’s going to fix it and since my score has already gone up from my old average I can’t wait to get my ball back. But the important thing here is this man is honest he’s there to help You and he isn’t just looking out for himself I don’t think I’ve ever met a more honest individual. Gee, is all about customer service and less about the sale. I learned more about bowling in the couple of hours I was in his store than all the years I have bowled. He is very patient and knowledgeable and likes to educate his clients. I was in the market for a Bowling ball and he was willing to order anything I wanted if he did not have it in the store. What was impressive here was he did not try to push his present inventory on me. Gee had amazing patience with me, when I was having a hard time selecting a ball, he did not mind repeating all the information a second time for me, which helped me finally make my decision. After I purchased the ball he took all the time necessary to fit the ball perfectly to my specs, and to make sure everything was perfect he had me throw a few strikes in his store.
