Coco's Food has received a one-star rating due to concerns regarding their sanitation practices and neglect in maintaining/cleaning their freezers. I hope that the store owner takes steps to address these cleanliness issues in order to preserve the reputation of the store. Despite these drawbacks, Coco's Food does have redeeming qualities worth mentioning.
Negative experiences include ongoing disorganization, mislabeled hallways, and a mix-up of different cultural products. Additionally, the produce carts are old and somewhat rusty, and the food freezer is filthy and old (like I do not even want to open it and I will not open it). The bottom wooden part of the shelves are broken (more than one throughout the store is broken), and the frozen produce section has an unpleasant odor (but you smell it from the time you walk in). Furthermore, the presence of a restaurant/food store IS NOW inside Cocos Food and this is now bringing a strong and unappealing smell of cooking oil. There are also instances where a whole bin is to the brim with rotten produce.
On a positive note, Coco's Food maintains a stock of canned products that are never expired and have a long shelf life. The store offers a diverse range of cultural products. The cashiers display kindness and efficiency, and the inventory staff is exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Additionally, Coco's Food has a convenient section dedicated to various kitchen items such as pots, pans, kabob sticks, knives, plates, mugs, and utensils, among others.
It is important for the store to address the negative experiences and work towards improving cleanliness to enhance the overall shopping experience OR you'll lose to someone like Whole Foods (which would be great in your specific location.)

Read moreStaff and customers here are very rude. The person in front of me in line was chatting with the cashier for a very long time (nothing wrong with that I’m glad people are bonding/getting to know each other). However, when I started putting my groceries on the conveyor, the customer became visibly peeved, presumably because she thought I was rushing her. She then left the store to “get her credit card” and did not return for five minutes, while the cashier watched me and snickered. The cashier never gave me an explanation about what happened or offered an apology (I don’t speak Spanish, so I was only able to pick up pieces of their conversation). Then when the customer came back, they both started laughing while giving me what I can only describe as looks of condescension. Since Coco’s offers such a wide variety of Asian foods, I was not expecting to be subjected to microaggression, but it was just a very unsettling...
Read moreSeptember 25th, 2024. On their website says they close at 10pm. I came from far away just to grab one tea bag before 10pm (please check your CCTV Camera between 21.50-21.55 or even before then). The Supervisor & staffs cheated by leaving early, they already shut and locked the door before 10pm (So they would get paid as if they work till 10pm while already left before 10pm?. That's corrupting their time. If they could corrupt the time, I wonder what else they cheat and corrupt) If I am their District Manager, I will fire them all as they made the entire company look bad.. Accidentally met their very stubborn Supervisor (Manager) who was rush to lock the store door... I don't know his name, (he is short Spanish) harrased me and mocked me around instead of explaining why they cheated to their company by...
