We visited the distillery after my Dad met a few of the owners at the Bingen Art and Wine Festival. My Mom and I are not Bourbon drinkers, but my Dad is and we were all eager to learn more about it. Spoiler: we left with a bottle of their clear moonshine Whiskey and two bottles of the Cinnamon Whiskey. One of which they shipped to New Jersey for me! We were greeted by Matt, a Head Distiller, and for the next hour or so he gave us generous tastings and did our tour- walking us through the entire process of what they do and how different spirits are made there. It was fascinating and so cool that it’s a true family business. ā€œSkunkā€ is Matt’s Grandpa, who we also met, and their stills are named after their great grandparents- original moonshiners. Come early on a weekday if you can- we had what felt like a private tour but I imagine any time you go there they will be incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home (whiskey drinker or not!).

Managed to stop into this wonderful little place while visiting the area and I'm so glad that I did. An excellent hostess provided us with a history of the distillery and a tasting selection of some of the fine spirits produced here. I was honestly a bit taken aback at first, we entered a room that looks just like a small gift shop and didn't know what to think. However just like a true speakeasy, the tasting room was hidden behind a sliding bookcase (fantastic little attention to detail). The atmosphere was warm and relaxed and honestly, the spirits were fantastic. The chocolate being a real sipper while the cherry was just delightful. Stop in if you get the chance, purchase some spirits for your next get together. It's well worth it!

Fantastic experience! We did the Groupon for the spirit tasting. They were generous in the variety of drink selections and they were incredibly delicious! But more importantly, they were incredibly welcoming and friendly. So many places have become uptight but they created a very relaxed atmosphere (before any whiskey / bourbon was in our system ). Well worth the money!! Definitely worth the visit!!

This place rocks! I rolled up today thinking they were open because I saw a sign on the road pointing to the taproom (their hours recently changed). I read the ā€œclosedā€ sign to the actually taproom as I was opening the door and I promptly shut it. As I was walking to my car to head home the bartender came out and asked if I want to come in for a tasting, she insisted even after I told them it was no trouble. I’m glad I stayed! The whiskey and cordials were amazing, the bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and kind and I can’t wait to go back when I’m in...
