
I held off writing this review at first but after some thought, I decided that I should in hopes that I can save any possible future clients from experiencing what I did. If Iām not mistaken, part of the appeal of booking a suite appointment with a hairstylist is that, typically, clients will have a more personalized session and the stylistās undivided attention. This was not the case for me; below is the experience that I had during the two appointments that I made with Allison Kent.
I drove from Sacramento for my first appointment and realized after arriving that she had sent a text asking if it was now possible for me to arrive an hour later than the time of the appointment that I had made. Thankfully she arrived only a few minutes late to that first appointment after not receiving a response from me because I was driving, regardless, a little bit unprofessional but I chose to overlook it and the appointment went great other than that. As I pulled into the lot on the date of my second appointment, she had texted to let me know that she was still with another client but that it would ābe fineā. When I walked into the suite there was no other client in the room so I assumed she had finished up with that person and was now ready for my appointment. She washed my hair, applied the toner, and stated that she was going to check on her other client that she apparently had moved into a different suite. Throughout the entire duration of my appointment she seemed somewhat rushed, which now made sense after she had mentioned she was still with another client. She blowdried my hair and then cut it. This was incredibly confusing to me because never in all of my years of living have I had a hairstylist cut my hair dry, let alone while it was frizzy after having been blow dried. I overlooked this and assumed she knew what she was doing. During the first appointment I had, she quickly straightened my hair before finishing the appointment. This time she did not and said she was finished whilst my hair looked a frizzy mess. Again, I could sense that she was rushed so that explains a lot. After the appointment I was in the process of sending payment over and she left the room, stating that she needed to tend to the other client. The entire appointment was so incredibly rushed that she didnāt even confirm whether or not I had sent the payment over before hurriedly leaving the room. I went home, straightened my hair myself and noticed that my hair was longer on one side and jagged all throughout the ends. When I reached out to her afterwards to see if she could fix it, she stated that she was only available the next day (I had work) and that I would otherwise need to wait until AFTER thanksgiving for her to fix the awful haircut that I received. Basically, she was only available to see me on the 19th, the day I worked, and wouldnāt have seen me until over a week later. I had an event to go to that weekend on the 20th and had to attend with my hair looking like that. So incredibly embarrassing. Additionally, she told me multiple times to straighten my own hair when I arrive for her to fix her own mistake, I assume this was so that it would be quicker for her to fix (therefore another rushed/careless appointment) this left me with a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel uncomfortable going back to a stylist who seemed as though she could not care any less about fixing what she had done to my hair. She stated that she was ātrying to accommodateā me over text, Iām sorry but offering only a next day appointment and saying that my only other option would be to go an entire week with jagged hair was just unacceptable. I primarily wear my hair straight so the jagged ends were something you couldnāt miss.

I brought at least 15 pics of what I wanted and when I was done, it was nothing like pics. Mind you, my hair is maybe 3 inches long in longest part. I wanted diff. I am a person who lives a generally busy life as a business owner , full of A LOT of stress . Unfortunately my hair ALWAYS pays for it. I go through times where my hair will come out in chunks and thin out quite a bit. Annnnnnd I'm a curly hair girl too. Somehow FAWN always comes thru to give my lifeless hair some shape. She takes her time and she is extremely skilled in her craft. She's also a sweetheart, what more can I ask for!!!!...
