The first technician did NOT pull out my dishwasher to check for additional holes chewed by a rat in my home that was built in 1910. He told me my warranty would not cover but I asked for the part to be replaced as I know vendors of warranty companies can do since I have been a member of American Home Shield for years. In the meantime we took precautions, called our exterminator immediately who came out immediately, checked our rat bait stations as we are in a test environment put on by the UGA campus, put great stuff under the house and sealed a hole behind the dishwasher with steel wool. When the part was installed, the technician did NOT run the unit. When I started to run the unit, water poured out on my wood floor that was new via a claim the first month we moved in because of hidden water damage from an old water line to the refrigerator. We ended up buying a dehumidifier as our floors started to cup from the leaks. We called back and explained water immediately came out and the next technician saw a hole in the tub and added sealant and told me to wait 24 hours. I was concerned because I didn’t see how water could come out immediately when the tub had not even filled up? Again, when we tried to run the unit, watered immediately came out. The technician that added the sealant came back, started to run the unit and saw the immediate water. He pulled the unit out and found a hole in the back of the unit that was very difficult to see. He was supposed to order the part. After waiting over 2 weeks, I called back to be told by the very rude office manager, Cathy, that she had done me numerous favors by sending technicians to my home at no charge. This manager failed to recognize that the first technician NEVER pulled out my unit to find any additional holes to allow me the opportunity to decide if I should expend money into the old dishwasher or...

My home warranty contracted my appliance repairs to Fixx My Appliances and over the last 6 months, they have worked on my washer, dryer and dishwasher. The dryer took 3 visits, the washer 3 and then a 4th to finally replace it and then the dishwasher... It is up to 6 visits now, 5 with Fixx My Appliance and 1 with the new company. Lamar is the tech that has been out the most of all the others and he is horrible. He never calls with more than a 5-10 minute notice despite, me confirming up to 3 times with the company that I need a 30 minute window. He acts put out and then takes 45 minutes to show up anyway. He has no customer rapport skills, he is disrespectful, rude and an inept technician. The other techs have all been okay as far as personality, approachableness and respectful. On Lamar's most recent trip last Monday - he actually managed to break my dishwasher and improperly replace the motor. He broke the top rack and failed to seal the new motor, so my dishwasher now leaks underneath. I requested my service on the dishwasher. I first requested service on July 1, 2018 - Fixx My Appliance took over a week to get out for the first service visit. I have not had a dishwasher in 4 and a half months. (Now I due put part of that on the warranty company), however Fixx My Appliance has yet to actually repair it. On the 2nd or 3rd visit out, a supervisor came with another technician and told my husband that the first tech should have caught the problem and yet another part was order. The operations manager I spoke with last Thursday asked my to email her all of this prior to leaving the review and assured me the owner would take care of it and she wanted to opportunity to do so before I posted this. I have not heard back from...
Read moreWhere to begin. The technician did come to my house within the specified timeframe on Friday. He was on the phone with someone back at headquarters explaining our refrigerator issues- he clearly had no clue what was wrong. He had me get on the phone to explain the issues. He asked me 3 times what brand of refrigerator it was he was looking at in front of him. They finally determined what was wrong and he said they’d order a part, it be there in 1-2 business days, and they’d call to schedule the installation. I confirmed twice that the $75 diagnostic charge that day, would go towards parts and labor for the next visit as it was explained to me when I initially scheduled the first visit and it was confirmed. The next Wednesday I called to get a status update and left a voicemail. I left another voicemail that Friday and finally heard back from them asking if I wanted to order the part? So they never even ordered the part. And I was going to have to pay for parts and labor- another $120....I asked numerous times about the $75 initial visit going towards repairs and they said they don’t do that? and began talking in circles about the cost. We decided to call the initial $75 our own loss because we did not feel confident in continuing service with this company. We have since had someone else resolve our issues, and it turns out this company diagnosed it wrong anyway. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this was a really...
