I tried to get an upgraded DRV that works better with the Tennis Channel signal and instead was given an antique that still had the Time-Warner logo (eye) on it, along with scores of long scratches on the top. It was so old, it did not support 1080P High Definition, and it warned me of this every time I turned it on, with a pop-up message. When I went back to complain, they said they did not have any new DVR models. Since these stores have no phones, you need to just drive around to different stores to see if they have what you want, wasting time and expensive gas. I drove to the Akron store on Arlington Rd. and they did not have the new digital Spectrum 200 series DVRs either. They were more polite than at Stow, but they just gave me another of the same outdated model DVR that I turned in to them, again with the Time-Warner logo. Instead of providing new equipment, Spectrum just recycles outdated models to its customers.
How can a big telecommunications company like Spectrum not even have telephone service in their facilities, so you can phone to find out what is available? It's ridiculous. Plus the staff I encountered at Stow is very arrogant about the whole situation, not in the least apologetic for failing to satisfy...
Read moreAfter being advised that I needed to go in the store to activate my NEW plans and purchase a new phone. I scheduled an appointment for 3:40 to not even be greeted until almost 4:10 at that point. The gentleman working there i believe it was Mario was rude and snarky. He proceeded to tell us “he was unable to help us and we had to call to finish our order” He did not seem sure about this information. He did not check just that he was unable to do anything. I asked him what the point of this store was as he stated he was helping someone behind me? He stated the person on the phone must not have knew what they were talking about or doing. Every question he started with I think so or believe. Didn’t seem really into his job. So, I left wasting around an hour of my time. To then call spectrum and someone be blown away when we told them what this gentleman said. Seems he was feeling a little lazy today. They said he should have been able to help us In the store no problem. So I needed a phone and now have to wait. Not a very good start as we are transferring over from a different carrier that we were with for almost 20 years. And trying to give this a shot but yeah...
Read more10/5/21 6:45PM I arrived at Spectrum's Office on Kent Road. I noticed two males and one female waiting ahead of me. I was there to turn in a Modem, nothing else. There are six clerk stations in the newer facility. Ana was the only Spectrum employee. My receipt included the time of 7:32PM. One other male walked in and was directed to wait in line. He said he didn't have time to waste and walked out. I understand a short wait but Spectrum should be giving credit to customers if they are jacked around in a store and forced to wait 47 minutes to turn in a Modem. Most of us have better things to do with OUR free time. Expect to spend part of your day or evening if you stop at their office. I am not a Spectrum fan from this and other experiences. Advertise a great deal to "bundle" and then get hammered later as they jack up your monthly payments. Ask what your payments will be in 24 months. I was closing in on the $180 range for phone, internet and TV before I cut the cord and bought an antenna.....Mike...
