They turned my roots orange and cut my hair crooked 🙃. I naturally have curly blonde hair but I’ve been dying it brown for about a year at the time. I have an amazing hairstylist back where I use to live about an hour away but traveling and gas got to be a lot so I decide to try this place out. I went here maybe twice and got my roots done and hair cut, there wasn’t any issues that I could tell and the price was a lot cheaper than I expected. But the third time I went to get my roots touched up they came out orange! Yes, bright orange. The stylist who I can’t remember her name but was younger had no idea what happened so she reapplied the color and my roots came out a dark cherry red. I was there for almost 4 hours while they tried to figure out why my hair was doing this. The one guy asked if I was on any medication that could mess with my hormones that might make the color do that. I wasn’t and then he was like well you’ve got to be pregnant because he had never seen that happen before. And no I was NOT pregnant. So I googled it and something came up called ‘hot roots’ which can make blonde hair go orange when dying it brown or something like that and I showed them it and they were like no can’t be and they proceeded to dye my roots once again super dark in hopes of covering up the orange, red mess they made. Thankfully the darker color took but now my roots were almost black with a slight hint of red in the right lighting. They told me to come back the next day to do a Malibu treatment which I guess would lift some of the color and they can reapply it. So, I went back because I wasn’t the professional if they said that’s what needed to be done then I was all for doing it. After that visit I went back to my old hairstylist and told her everything that happened and she agreed with me that it was the hot roots and that they shouldn’t have done the Malibu or keep reapplying the color and to top it off she said my hair was cut crooked from them as well. You get what you pay for,...
Read moreI was a client of mode of expression for 4 years. I recently Decided to part ways after several instances of unprofessionalism by staff. I will say this: Heidi does a great job with cuts and hair. But she needs to address her stylist, TRel. He is very disrespectful and unprofessional. The day he told me that I needed To tip him more than 20% was beyond belief. And for some reason the costs of some of the same services I received for years kept going up. I would think I’m going to pay X amount and then when it was time to pay, it would be more. Make sure you confirm before you get services the costs so there are no surprises. I went In for a keratin treatment and was charged for an extra batch because the stylist decided to use more product on my hair. I was Never told I’d be charged extra for the stylist choosing to use more product and didn’t think anything of it. Another recent incident was When I received Tape in extensions and during the first week they were already slipping out because they were not secured correctly the first time. I called The salon about this and was told by TRel that they weren’t going to fix anything since I didn’t report the issue the first couple of days. Never in my life as a customer have I been questioned like I’m a criminal or trying to get over to get a free service! Common sense would’ve been: she’s been a loyal client for years, we will fix it. I do Not recommend this salon based off of the terrible...
Read moreMy third time getting my hair cut and colored by Regan and I have booked my next 2 appointments already. I love my color and so much easier to have her wax my brows while I am there. A full service salon. No really, a FULL service salon. Not one that says they are full service and then can only cut/color and maybe wax some eyebrows. This salon does all of that and more. Full body wax, nails, pedicures and MASSAGE! They are preparing to start doing microblading too. I am SO looking forward to that! Staff is wonderful, young, and fresh! Salon is a fun environment with skilled people. Not stuffy and pretentious. I would say they are of average price for a mid to high level quality salon for most stuff but some things are extremely reasonable. Seem to run different specials often too so I believe you can always get some kind of deal. Oh! You should also know that they have shampoos that smell like cake, bananas or blueberries! So fabulous. I would certainly recommend this salon and I look forward to my next...
