My husband and I came here on date night to get some good beer and wings. Instead, we got ignored and dismissed. Let me start by saying that I am familiar with the restaurant industry as a former bartender and server. So I know when someone is profiling for tips and I guess we looked cheap! The server started off well enough but I sensed a little attitude. As we were ordering, I asked when would be a good time to place a to- go order for later. She said, "Now because a big party is coming in and it's going to be busy." After we got our food, she stopped back at the table and then never to be seen again until my husband complained. Another server attended our basic needs....water, plates and napkins. My husband had to go to the hostess to ask about getting our check because we sat so long unattended. Eventually, our original server appeared and he let her have it like one of our daughters. I actually felt bad for her but this is the real world of the restaurant business. She then brings us boxes for our leftovers and her eyes got really big when she saw the money that was exchanged between my husband and I, making change for a tip. Then enter "Dillon" stage left, the person who called himself "the manager at this time" who tries to argue about the horrible service saying, "We only have 2 servers on the floor right now!" Well Dillon, back in the day, our managers rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty right alongside us! Nevertheless, my husband was asking for the server who actually attended to us while Dillon was trying to talk from his chest, and gave her a $10 tip once she came to the hostess station. The food was just okay. Not nearly good enough for such an experience. I can't personally recommend this location because I can't say that I have ever experienced this level of service at any of the other locations...even all the way in El Paso, TX. A valuable tip to all the restaurant workers...please don't profile and judge. You never know who you are face to face with and what they have despite their appearance. I have changed the minds of many non-tipping folks in the past and if my husband and I sit at your table, we will more than likely...
Read moreThe food was delicious, I will start there. I will end there as well. I had a $25 visa gift card that I asked the server to use first and then we would pay the balance after that. I literally took the $25 gift card out of its packaging before I left my house, so I knew it was not used prior. The server comes back and says he is sorry but he can't get the card to work. I insisted and a manager...I think he claims to be one...he literally stood around the whole time we were there...anyway...supposedly he tried and it didn't work. Gave it back to me. I told him it is impossible. As he gave it back, I called the number on the back and it indeed had a $25 balance. Now another manager comes over and claims that there is nothing he can do. I again told him to try it again. I watched him swipe it I don't know how many times, he finally comes back and claims he was only about to "get it to work" for $20 instead of the full $25 - which makes absolutely no sense at all. Either it works or it doesn't. I worked in retail for nearly 20 years and the majority of that time, I was a manager; if I had a customer that had an issue, I helped them. I didn't just say there is nothing I can do. The fact that in the beginning they just said sorry, it's not working, is unacceptable. Because I knew that there was $25 on this gift card. And its not even about the money, it's the principle. I insisted they make it work, otherwise, no one in that building really cared to do the right thing. Saturday night we were there at dinner time and the place was nearly empty - that should have been my first clue on how our experience might be. Again, food was amazing but the service/management could use a...
Read moreStreetsboro Buffalo Wild Wings was a great place at the opening of things after Covid. However, things seemed to have changed. Now it’s just a big chain restaurant that happens to be in some smaller cities. Recently, I was excited that I got my 20% off offer for being a teacher. However, upon eating at the restaurant, I realized there were too many strings attached to the offer. Realized is probably not the best word. I discovered AFTER trying to pay that you can’t use the discount for BOGO 50% (which used to be BOGO free). I also couldn’t use the 20% off if I used a free rewards offer for an app. Not sure why not because taking 20% off the rest of the order shouldn’t be influenced by a free item. I guess I could have strategically placed two orders. As it stood, I used the offer of BOGO 50 because it was about a dollar better. The two teachers sitting next to me at least were able to learn from my experience and avoided the above discovery l BEFORE they ordered. So instead of feeling appreciated for being a teacher, I realized that publicity and marketing were more important than true customer service. Too bad the friendliness of the bar tender and other staff seems wasted. I will probably go back because I like the place-but definitely not as often and with a little more understanding of the bottom line...
