I went into Verizon in Sturgis on a Saturday when they are notoriously busy. I waited for almost an hour for service, and although inconvenient, watching and listening to the two employees working was heartwarming and impressive. An 85 year-old-woman was not only set up with a new phone, but walked through all the features that would be different on her new device compared to her old one. She was explained exactly the costs up front as well as changes she would see on upcoming bills so these would not be surprising to her. She was allowed to speak with a grandson worried about what was taking so long. Another older gentleman was explained Bluetooth, contract changes, and the employee made sure his new device was updated and ready to use prior to leaving. When it was my turn, my questions were answered kindly and thoroughly. I will happily wait my turn if it means our older population gets the service they need to stay in touch with loved ones. Read moreFirst off they don't have a phone you can call. They list a phone number but it doesn't work. I called Verizon and gave my son permission to add his and his wife's phones to my account. My daughter in law called and let me talk to Gage (the Verizon store worker) and he hung up on me. They refused to add their phones to my account even though Verizon has notes saying it's ok. Then when they inquired about starting their own account he said it would take him past closing (5pm it was 4:35pm). Just sounds like they have lazy people that don't care about customer service.
