17:30 pm I walked up to James Avery store in Dillards there were maybe 4 people standing in front of me looking in glass case. A sales associate named elizabeth walks close to glass case and said yes and looked at me , I asked is this the line, Elizabeth replies no. I then walk up and give her my James Avery bag with everything I was returning exactly how the James Avery in Dillards in humble gave me. I stated receipt is in bag as well. Elizabeth opens the box take the charm out look in bag. Elizabeth looks up to me as elizabeth looks at receipt and say well you dont have the yellow sticker where is it. I then state Im not sure what yellow sticker but I have not taken anything out the box or bag. I brought it to you guys with receipt how it was given to me. She then gives me a dirty look I said Im not sure what the yellow tag looks like and elizabeth says with out that tag on here I have to see if you can even return this. I said well I was told when I purchased this as long as I had the receipt I could return it. Elizabeth says I have to call my manager and ask her.I said why is that if the receipt is here and it has not been over 60 days and everything is in there as purchased except a yello tag? Elizabeth then grabs a clear bag with a yellow tag and raises her voice and says this yello tag you see while shaking the bag in the air and a very firm, demeaning negative tone. I have never been talked to that way when Im a loyal customer and i was completely respectful to her the entire time. This is something I dont allow my staff to do thats a automatic termination because my company I manage has had a lawsuit before unfortunately because of this exact reason.this so called subtle racism is unacceptable. I will never buy from Dillards again or James Avery. Im sorry for James Avery because they are a great company but the partnership with Dillards. This I will not sweep under the rug. I then talked to Elizabeth manager Donyae who then looked through bag and opened box looked up at me and said yes where is that yellow tag. I tell her the same thing I told ELizabeth everything that is in there is exactly how It is when I purchased it . Calmly I look while Donyae looks again she takes stuffing paper out top of bag takes out box look in bag then opens box put the top down look under charm red bag as she is doing so I say are you guys referring to this yellow tag right here in lid of box. She says oh yeah there it is and does the transaction to return when she is done and give me the receipt I then say next rim a little tip you may want to tell your employee not to accuse customers and have a demeaning attitude and body language all because she didnt look properly. Donyae did not acknowledge what I said I then asked for her name and Elizabeth name. Donyae says oh you was not happy I walked away. There was so many problems with this whole situation but most of all neither said I apologize I didnt look or Im sorry for my attitude...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood evening. I just wanted to rave about the customer service provided by Claudia earlier yesterday, Friday, May 3rd. I came in, in a hurry because the gifts that the Doctor and I ordered for his wife were going to be delayed in delivery and not arrive today like promised. So, while we can't wait till she receives her gift set, we wanted to also get her something to give her today on her special day. She is a very particular, chic, classy yet subtle in style, petite lady and I had no idea what to get for her. I asked around a few times, described her, and was pointed in the direction of "PETITES", where I found absolutely nothing. I went ahead and looked around and was curious as to what was going on with everyone dressed up, and ended up in fragrances and skin care. That is where I met the lovely Claudia, who is not only very beautiful, but very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She went above and beyond to help me. I looked a hot mess, I'm sure, but she still told me all about the promotion, Tom Ford's fragrances. I didn't know if that was her scent, but it smells delicious. I told her what I was actually looking for, and while I loved the fragrance, I really wanted something cute, casual, and chic for her to wear, since she is always home, or in her garden, or just running errands/shopping. Well, Claudia led me to Ralph Lauren, made conversation on the way, and even stayed a while to help me pick out a few selections. She loved all of them , by the way. I was so happy with my experience with her. To take her time and show me a whole different department was just very appreciated and I just wanted to say, Thank you so much, Claudia. You are wonderful at...

Arrived inside the mall and seated outside the store doors waiting for the 10AM scheduled opening, only to see a sales rep place a sign on the doors about 9:50AM stating that these doors were going to open at 10:30, and The outside doors would open at the scheduled 10AM time.Just glad it was not raining on those standing outside.
Not planning to move to an new line outside in the 30 -35 deg weather, took advantage of Macy's which DID have mall entrance doors open wide and welcoming shoppers :-) Maybe Dillard's management needs to take pointers from Macy's. After shopping at Macy's, we walked back to Dillard's. I had a brief discussion with security staff to try and understand when the doors had different opening times, and will follow-up with the store manager if still there later this week. Made my way upstairs to the area where suits where located, and heard a very polite sales rep informing customers with arm loads of merchandise they could not come upstairs until they checked-out downstairs in the area where the merchandise was located. Fortunately, I had not picked-up any items downstairs! Just think about the unsuspecting family members shopping upstairs and downstairs at the same time forced to check-out multiple times. I'd like to know how many shoppers went back downstairs, and walked out empty handed and frustrated like I did. Off to JOS A. Bank just across the street. My new go to store for men's...
