We recently moved to Sugar Land and were looking for a swim school for my child, who had previously been enrolled elsewhere for 12 months but had taken a 3-month break. When we came to enroll her, the staff insisted she go into a class without an instructor for the assessment. I simply asked for a coach to be present for the first 5 minutes to help her adjust to the new environment, but they flat-out refused. Their only alternative was for her to take a beginner class despite not being a beginner and pay for the entire session just for an assessment. That made no sense. The front staff was completely inflexible, unwilling to accommodate a reasonable request, and seemed indifferent when we decided to leave. Very disappointing experience. I wouldnāt recommend this place to anyone looking for a supportive swim school.
You got a 1-star because thatās what you deserve as a business. Clearly your attitude sucks and Iām so glad that we experienced this before signing up our child here. You are the one who seems angry here, not me. I behaved exactly like a concerned father should but you guys clearly seem to lack empathy. We went to Gold Fish immediately after and they know how to respect and treat their customer! You might want to take a lesson or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have tried almost all of the swim lesson facilities in the Sugar Land area, and this is the first one I found that actually tries to teach infants/toddlers anything remotely close to actual swimming, rather than just getting comfortable in the water. I had my daughter in swim lessons at various other places, off and on, from 4 months to a year old, and every other place was the sameā¦teach them to be comfortable in the water. I understand that is an important first step, but my daughter was VERY comfortable in the water after 8 months of lessons. None of them ever progressed to anything that even resembled swimming. I was so frustrated. I stopped taking her to swim lessons, because I thought I had tried them all, and we werenāt getting anywhere. Then a few months later I found Swim Labs and figured I might as well try them too, since Iāve tried every other place in the area. After our first lesson at Swim Labs I was ecstatic to see they were teaching things that actually promoted swimming, rather than just playing in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have both my children here, my younger child has been able to go more consistently and has progressed well so far. I think for young children learning how to swim this is an effective place due to limited class sizes and more focused attention. I still have yet to see how lessons here will impact my older child and have concerns that the small size of the pool may impact overall endurance, however, our current focus is form and instructors seem to be well equipped for this. The facilities themselves are clean, there's plenty of seating and it's quieter than other swim facilities we have been to, not overly crowded most days. Staff is always helpful, pleasant, and instructors are good with kids. My only complaint is that it's sometimes difficult to observe the lessons without standing up and screens are not always...
