If you are going to have anything done to your face/body, even "just" Botox/filler, take your time and find an experienced and board certified dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon.
This is a franchise, and so the business model is clearly profit-centered not patient-centered. Pushy on upselling, offers "deals/memberships/packages" and insists that pay up front in full for procedures that have yet to be scheduled.
I went in for 0.5 of a specific filler and result in mind. They didn't have it in stock despite scheduling me for it, but they insisted an alternative would work. During injection, The NP insisted it was a "better deal" to get a full syringe, even though I expressed I wanted a conservative treatment. She was pushy enough to get an "okay" out of me, and I left with 3-4 syringes of a filler I didn't want in my bruised and battered face due to her heavy handed injection technique. I also paid much more than I had budgeted for that day.
Within an hour of leaving I knew something was wrong. It was painful, swollen, and all the filler was putting pressure on my eye. To be fair, they replied promptly, but downplayed it. I waited another 24 hours and began to have concerns as I had blurred vision (reduced blood flow to my eye due to the swelling of the tissue). I called again and asked to have it dissolved. They told me to be patient and that they would prescribe something to try first. Also they were closed and the provider wouldn't come in even for an emergency, so I would have to wait another 1-2 days for an opening.
I ended up going to the hospital ER for some eye tests, and left a with an oral antibiotic, steroid, and antihistamine. They didn't have the enzyme to dissolve the filler however my
At this point I didn't trust the spa to touch my face again, as they seemed more irritated with the fact that I sought medical care instead of waiting longer.
I called a local cosmetic surgeon, explained the situation and they got me in almost immediately. The doctor was visibly irritated when I told him where I had gone for filler and said I did the right thing by coming in. He dissolved the filler and my face looked and felt better almost immediately.
So I had no results, a weekend of pain, an ER bill and $400 to dissolved the filler all because the injector was inexperienced and didn't listen to what I was asking for. To be fair, the med spa refunded me in full, but only when I requested it.
I am not a bitter or angry customer, this is an honest and objective review of my own experience there to help...

Read moreI went for Botox treatment for the first time and my Nurse Practitioner Injector, Shivangi, listened to and addressed all my skincare and wellness concerns. She was very thorough at explaining everything to me before my treatment was done. I also had a wellness blood lab draw and the Nurse Practitioner Injector, Ashley, provided a timeline of when the results will be back and scheduled me for my follow up appointment. The guest experience specialist (GES) greeted me with a smile when I walked in for my appointment and offered me a beverage while I waited. The ambiance in the spa is inviting, clean and calming. The wait time is minimal and the location is centrally located in Sugar Land off of SW Fwy close to First Colony Mall. If you're looking for an upscale med spa with a variety of high quality aesthetic services, medical grade skincare products, and a friendly and knowledgable staff, then look no further than VIO Med Spa Sugar Land for your...
