I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Superior Grocers on 9/21/2025. As a 66-year-old disabled woman, I was doing my best to bag my own groceries when I realized there were no bags available. I reached behind me to grab some when the cashier named Gliydis B . came over, practically pushed me out of the way with the box of bags, and slammed down the box of bags without warning. I had asked her for permission to get the bags, but she rudely told me ânoâ and insisted she was putting more bags out.
When I tried to explain what happened to a cashier supervisor named Eugenia , the situation only got worse. The cashier started yelling, claiming she didnât even work for Superior Grocers. I asked the cashier supervisor Eugenia what was more important â the customers or the bags â and she told me, shockingly, that the bags were more important. Eugenia stated that there was nobody else higher than her who I could speak to right there and then that I had to come back the next day I had to come back home I mentioned to my daughter what had happened she took me back to the store that cashier had already left and cashier supervisor Eugenia had left already as well so I spoke to a nicer cashier supervisor didnât get her name and then we spoke to Justin, which he is the one that gave us the paper so we could write down what had happened.
This experience made me feel disrespected, humiliated, and completely disregarded as a customer. No one should be treated this way, especially those of us who already face challenges. I hope management takes this seriously and provides proper training in customer service and basic human decency. If I could give 0 stars I would have but it...
Read moreLet's start with the pros. The bakery offers delicious breads, pastries, and cakes. The produce appears fresh and of high quality. However, the aguas frescas are hit-or-miss. During our visit, they frequently ran out of boba, and the aguas frescas lacked ice. Customer service is lukewarm at best. That summarizes the positives.
Now, onto the lengthy list of cons. Firstly, there is a lack of carts. Not a single employee is retrieving carts for customers. I observed multiple individuals who seemed to be supervisors or managers just standing around while lines snaked through aisles and extended to the back. While cashiers' knowledge of common item numbers is not impressive, the issue lies in the lack of a simple solution, such as a cheat sheet with popular items listed prominently. For example, the absence of the bolio item number, one of the most common items, is surprising.
The store is already quite messy, particularly the meat department, which has a displeasing odor. I noticed several health code violations and would advise against purchasing meats for now.
However, I understand that the store is new and may be experiencing overwhelming business. They should have anticipated the crowd given their strong social media presence and the influencers they enlisted for advertising. It feels like they overshot their expectations and underdelivered. I'll revisit in a few months, hoping for a more normal and improved experience once the initial...

Do you love Tamales? Are you always on the hunt for them? I'll admit I used to have my scheduled Tamales delivery every Friday. I was lucky enough to have a grandma set up my delivery no matter what each week. Then she moved :( đ broke my food heart. Then I saw an IG post of this grocery with a tamale cart. Yes it was a grand opening. But I needed/ wanted/ desired to know if the hype was real.
Upon entering it is a theme park of different stations and people. Bakery/ Restaurant area with actual seating/Agua Frescas with Boba/ that infamous Tamale Cart with 6 different flavors. Yes you read that correct 6 flavors, a meat selection, ample fruits and Vegetables, plus all the normal things a typical grocery would have.
This area has needed a grocery for over 5 years now. And what a way to bring the life back to this side of town. But in my opinion it is needed and def worth it. And I may have been back 3x now for the Tamales. Don't judge me. Everything was very clean, shelves stocked. The staff in all areas were beyond hospitable and courteous.
Would most def recommend- pricing is typical for life now a days. But I will say this. Look for the red tags if you like to save money. My red tag sales filled up my grocery cart for very reasonable.
Location is lake mead and nellis - ample parking. Now this place gets...
