Rubalcaba Taco Shop #2 — Restaurant in Sunrise Manor

I've gone to this place for over eight years with my family. The food food has always been good and the service better. But over the past two months the food has become bland at both locations and the customer service worse. The other day I made a order over the phone but the guy kept on getting the order wrong. When we went to the store to pay and pickup the food, the order was completely wrong. At first I was okay with it because we all make mistakes but when I would try to fix it I would say one thing and then they would put something else or put more than one. After getting a different person and making the correct order, I waited almost an hour for the food. When I checked it we were missing three things. When I told the guy he rolled his eyes at me and started yelling at the cook. When I finally got home and tried to eat my menudo it turns out they left out the hominy, which we ordered and got charged for. NORMALLY I would be okay with the order being slightly messed up but the poor service and the attitude I received was annoying. He estado en este lugar por más de ocho años con mi familia. I've been coming here for years and today was the last time. The service has dropped off a cliff the last year or so but I usually don't mind as the food is good and it's usually quick. Today I walk in and there are 2 people seated waiting on their orders, so not busy at all. I place my order and it's clear the lady is unhappy we don't speak Spanish. We sit down and my wife drinks her warm soda while we wait (they never have ice in the machine). 45 minutes later and we're still waiting, meanwhile half a dozen other (Hispanic) people have come in since, ordered, got their food, and left. I would have asked for my money back but they don't give their customers receipts and I don't trust them to actually give me my money back.

Food was still good but there are too many good taco shops that only care about the green in your wallet, not the tone of your skin. SUPREME ROLLED BEEF TACOS topped with CARNE ASADA! So delicious and filling! The burrito tortillas are very authentic. Taste home made. I strongly believe Rubalcaba is better than any of the three main competitors. Better than most popular Mexican large restaurants. It is about two dollars more expensive for your popular burritos and carne asada fries, but extremely well worth it. Robertos does not come close to their freshness and taste. Sorry.
