I normally never have an issue with this store. I went on 6/25/25 to order a camera lens. I paid for half of it $30.00 dollars. I was told by the employee that it takes a few days. I called yesterday to inquire about it. No one called me and Fourth of July weekend is this weekend so I didn’t want to wait until then.
So when the employee told me that the part has not come in and since the store was taken over by Néw management that they couldn’t track it because the sole person who does was on PTO.
I said well what does that have to do with me? I’m sure there is a back up to answer questions for customers. I was told no there isn’t and there’s nothing they can do. I said okay I’ll call corporate I hung up. Not even ten minutes later how ironic that the mail man showed up and delivered the package? I asked can I come by now. The employee said. “We close at 7:00p.m. if you can get here by 4:45pm because it takes 2hrs to install. I said it takes that long. He said yes.
I was grocery shopping and I quickly left so I can make it on time. I got there just before 5pm. I gave him the phone and asked him how long would it take he then again said 2hrs. ( just replace the camera lens.) So I had traveled from being twenty minutes away to get the phone fix because my daughter has Autism and know that she wanted her phone fixed eagerly. So I left had just got home. My home is 10 minutes away from that location. How is it that I’m just walking in my house and I get a message that my phone is ready. I was like what? I just left there. The employee could have said just wait it shouldn’t be long. The store was empty when I was there.
So I went to pick up the phone. I spoke to the employee and said I wasted gas and time when he could have said just wait it won’t be long. So unprofessional. We will never come back to this location. We pay for our policy and prior had excellent service there. Not any more. You just lost a customer and I will let everyone know be careful of Ubreakifix!!! I’m so disappointed in the customer service there. It is not what it used to be. I guess I took away from him playing on his computer. So...
Read moreUpdate 9/6: I can't stress enough how genuinely awesome these people are. Bought a new CPU for my computer but it needed a BIOS update in order for it to work on my current build. However, I was completely unable to update the BIOS. Best Buy charges $150 for BIOS updates, UBREAKIFIX charges $80. Still kinda steep, but I was out of options and getting frustrated with none of the troubleshooting resolving the issue. I spoke with Josh again, who is courteous as always, and asked me questions to help better understand the issue. I took the PC in. Their computer wiz, Fernando, was not only able to update the BIOS but also installed a few drivers I was missing as well. In addition, they had asked me to bring my new CPU and cooler in on the grounds that the service wasn't complete until they knew these parts worked with the BIOS update. Sure enough, they did and not a single extra charge. I paid the initial $80 I was quoted and left with a new and upgraded PC. Best Buy would charge you the $150 and then say yep we updated it you want more work pay us another x amount of dollars or buy our service membership. You can absolutely trust these guys at UBREAKIFIX. They know what they're doing.
Took my phone in for warranty repairs due to their partnership with Google for the Pixel line of phones. Spoke to a guy named Josh who was very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and transparent. Despite warning me about the 4 hour repair time because of how the 4a is built he was able to get my phone ready in basically an hour total. The one criticism I have is that the repair work is kinda noticable but I use a case so that doesn't matter. The screen works now and that's what matters....
Read moreIf I could give less than one star I would! Made an appointment through Samsung's website to bring my phone for a screen protector replacement. The phone I have gives a screen protector replacement during the first year. Mine started to peel about 10 or 11 months after I bought it. Appointment was for a Saturday morning. The store called me on Thursday to ask if I would be in that day and they wanted to know what kind of phone I had. Found this strange since all of that information should have been provided by Samsung. No problem I told them I would be in on Saturday morning. Glad they confirmed that they had the protector to fit my phone. Arrived on time for my Saturday appointment. The technician looked at my phone, which I had taken out of its case, soccer ball scratches on the one place the case does not cover, hinge of the Galaxy Flip5, and told me my phone was out of warranty. He said they would not do the screen protector replacement. So I went and called Samsung, sent them some pictures of my phone, and they arranged for me to go to a different ubreakifix about 15 minutes away. I had no problem whatsoever getting the screen protector replaced at the other location.
Don't trust this place with your devices! My thought is that if they're worried about warranty, they are probably unable to fix them properly or maybe they are to understaffed to even want to work on them. I wish I had gotten the guy's name who gave me the BS about my phone being out of warranty. By the way I have Samsung's Care+ extended warranty which covers just about everything for any reason. Get your stuff...
