So it's been a while since I've been to Wingers. They used to have one up in North Ogden, which is where I live and that, you know, sadly has not been a thing for probably close to 10 years now. And that's probably only a few years longer since I've been to a Wingers. So my review is in comparison to my previous experience of what wingers used to be like 7, 8 years ago. Take it with a grain Of salt.
First off and what really gives this 3 stars in my opinion is that there's no more endless sticky fingers. Which is what wingers was like famous for. That and their Freakin' Amazing Sauce. Which is no longer the Freakin' Amazing Sauce. It sure tastes like the Freakin' Amazing Sauce. so I'm sure they didn't change the recipe, So that's a plus. But it's just called like, wingers sauce...
The sticky fingers are smaller than they used to be, and that's a shame. The place feels a lot more like Wing Nutz or Buffalo Wild Wings, with their dry rubs and different sauces. They'd had none of that before. It's probably a better business model, but it's not the Wingers that I remember.💔
This location has a wonderful staff period I loved our waitress. She did everything she could to help, you know make us happy. We did end up buying like 48 sticky fingers for like 70 bucks. But there just wasn't the same substance as they used to have. They tasted great, don't give me wrong. If you're itching for Wingers sticky fingers, you'll still be satisfied and happy. Even if you're, wallet is a little bit lighter than it would have been before, especially with no endless sticky fingers. Which is the whole reason why we went out in the first place. So we did end up getting our order, ya know, take out after finding that out.
Anyway that's my review. And we did end up buying a bottle of the sauce which I'm always and forever gonna be calling Freakin'...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience today was frustrating enough that I feel compelled to share.
I ordered the lunch combo with three wings, French fries, and a drink. I specifically requested teriyaki wings, but when my order arrived, it was the wrong flavor. Mistakes happen, so I politely informed our server, and she quickly brought out the correct wings.
Here’s where things went downhill. I hadn’t touched the original wings because I wanted to wait for what I actually ordered. However, when my teriyaki wings finally arrived, they were terrible. undercooked or just completely off in taste and texture. I took only two bites before realizing something was wrong.
When I brought this up to the manager, Whose name was Devin. I was shocked by the response. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she insisted that all she could do was take $1 or $2 off my bill because I had “eaten some.” I explained that I only took two bites, just enough to realize the food was inedible. She refused to take any real responsibility.
To make matters worse, she then claimed that the first set of incorrect wings counted as “bonus wings”, as if their kitchen’s mistake was somehow a favor to me. I asked why I was expected to pay for food that was either undercooked or prepared incorrectly, but she dismissed the conversation entirely, repeating that there was “nothing she could do.”
At that point, it was clear that customer satisfaction wasn’t a priority here. A simple solution, like replacing the wings or offering a reasonable discount, could have fixed this situation. Instead, I was left paying for a meal I couldn’t even eat.
I won’t be returning. If this is how management handles mistakes, I suggest others think twice before...
Read moreTLDR/BLUF: This was my first ever visit to a Winger's, and I'm impressed! I recommend this Winger's.
Details: The atmosphere is good - I could just focus on the company I visited with, instead of the music, other conversations going on, etc.
The service was excellent - they came often enough to keep my cup full, but didn't feel clingy or distracting from the people I was there to be with.
The food was excellent. Being my first visit, I asked for recommendations from several people, who all mentioned several dishes that had one thing in common: their sticky fingers. I settled on their sticky finger wrap lunch combo, which can't with the wrap, a side salad, and a drink for $14 (although the salad version looked amazing!) with a house salad side.
The waiter confirmed my preference for toppings, but didn't ask for a dressing preference, so I'm not sure if there are more options besides ranch. I like ranch alright, and the side salad was great, so I'm not mad or anything. I just usually go for a nice vinaigrette.
The sticky finger wrap was HUGE: about 12-14" long and probably about 3" diameter, and it was delicious! It has a good balance of lettuce, chicken, etc. the sticky finger sauce was a wonderful balance of sweet, that, and a touch of spice (I like jalapenos for flavor and spice for reference; I don't like heat for the sake of heat like some heat aficionados).
The meal was large enough to easily split into two meals, which made the$14 a decent bargain in my book.
I didn't use their restroom facilities, so I'm not sure if those were clean or not, but I would wager they were clean based upon the cleanliness of the rest of the establishment.
I definitely recommend...
