Friday, October 18th 2019 at about 6:20pm my husband and I with our 9 year old son came in to get a jigsaw and used my husband's phone to use a 20% off coupon. Angela was our cashier. He also saw the coupon for the free light so we got that and in his excitement of the free light he sat his phone down on the register and walked out of the store. By 6:40pm, 20 minutes after we left he realized he left his phone and on the drive back to the store I called and Angela answered and to our surprise she said we didn't leave the phone. Well we knew he had so we continued back to the store. We honestly thought the customer behind us picked up the phone and as soon as we walked in that's what Angela hinted towards by her saying that happens all the time, people leaving things and the customer behind them take it. Now we know there are cameras of course and harbour freight usually takes your number on every order so we knew it wouldn't be hard to find who has it with a little research. And that's exactly what my husband said to Angela, get the manager up here so we can look at the cameras and see who took it. Well with realizing the jig was up Angela went back in the office up front (where she had already gone in at least once if not more by this time while saying they didn't have the phone) and came out with my husband's phone. Harbour Freight had it the whole time. The only reason Angela gave up the phone after denying having it for 15 mins was because she knew she would be seen on the camera taking it. And she also powered off the phone as soon as we left it there. The way her and the on duty manager was speaking in low tones and disappeared in the office before she brought the phone out really makes us question if the manager knew about it too. But do not shop here. Very untrustworthy...
Read moreWent in with my husband for a specific item which was not in stock. The clerks at the registers were SO loud, talking & laughing, as we perused the store. We could find no one to help us as was the case with another couple and a man. The couple was finally able to ask the front clerk to call for help with a saw blade (they had coupon) & she said “what do you need?” They wan said saw blades & she said “tell me exactly.” It was clear they wanted help on the aisle where the items were.
After someone finally came to help me with an item (dolly) with no price, he called for a price. He confirmed out loud, in front of me, twice. On my way to front with said item, I picked up a flag because of the good sale price, nearly half off.
At the register, the cost was $25 more than what I was told. I had her get the clerk who had called for the price. He “heard” and repeated the wrong price TWICE, and the flag price sale doesn’t start for 2 more days, despite the tag with the sale price. He shrugged & she stood there.
I put it all back and we left...
Read moreFinally my first time visiting a harbor freight tools! I was impressed by the selection. Did not know they had so many cheap alternatives and unique items normally only found online shopping. Definitely impressed with the prices and the super low cost of things like zip ties. They are so cheap compared to the big box home stores. A massive assortment pack for $9.99! And I love zip ties they are so handy for so many things! I was here to get a helping hands device which holds small electronics and such for working on. Something you previously would probably find a radio shack for 3x the cost it was here. If you don't wanna wait for online orders check this place out I will be going back for sure. The employees helped me locate the item after I looked it up online and seemed helpful to others as well. Cool place if you love tools and gadgets galore. A lot more items for auto and home then I expected not just hard core tools stuff for everyday use. They had rachet tie down straps very...
