This hotel was decent for its price. The rooms were nice but outdated. They were equipped with full kitchens which were nice and provided a lot of flexibility but still outdated. The beds were fairly comfortable and even the pullout couch wasn’t too bad. Everything worked as we expected which was good. However, the walls are very thin. We heard children clearly yelling and crying in the room next to us all weekend. Also, the shower curtain was in a bag next to our door when we walked in so we had to put it up ourselves and in the other bathroom, the shower door was off the track so it was hard to open and close. In addition, the room was generally clean, but the showers left more to be desired in terms of cleanliness. There were TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. They were smart-ish and had some options to use streaming services but not all the options for streaming services. However, there was live tv which was nice as well. There are some things that come stock in the room including, pots, pans, dishes, cups, silverware, coffee pot, toaster, fridge, salt and pepper, two packets of laundry detergent, coffee, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing soap, sponge, towels in kitchen and bathrooms, pool towels (NO BEACH TOWELS), soap in bathrooms, and there was one shampoo in one bathroom (NO CONDITIONER). The location was decent in that it wasn’t far from the beach. It was also in a nice neighborhood that you can walk around in. Though, there wasn’t many side walks outside of the resort area. But it was a safe area and it felt well circulated by security. The location wasn’t close to anything that you could easily walk to though. You will definitely need to drive if you ever want to go off the resort. There aren’t a ton of restaurants close by either. Parking in the resort was great! There’s plenty of parking at the check in location (which is significantly separated from the rest of the resort but it’s along the way to the condos/hotel rooms). There is plenty of parking in each section for the buildings. Plus there is extra parking for the outdoor pools so you can drive to be closer to the pools rather than walking a far distance. Along with this, there are several shuttle stops throughout the resort that offers free pick up and drop off to and from the beach! Lastly, there are several amenities around the resort that are fairly nice. There is an indoor pool closer to the entrance of the resort. That also has two fire pits outside next to it. There’s also an arcade in the building next to it as well. There’s a gym by this pool as well. Further into the resort, there’s a larger outdoor pool (but it is not very deep) with a lot of sunning chairs and tables with umbrellas well. There’s an event center attached to this as well and a poolside grill with some food and drink items. Across the street from this outdoor pool, there is a kids area with a very shallow pool and a play area with a mushroom and a bucket that dumps water. Plus there is a fun lazy river with plenty of tubes and some more sunning chairs. It’s quite nice and fun to use as an adult or child. However, I will say the pools areas are often overrun with kids and they will jump in the pool and splash you since there is no supervision by a pool attendant. Our stay at the Grand Palms resort was relaxing and convenient. We enjoyed the aminieties the resort had to offer. This included 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool. An arcade, a spa, grill areas, a gym, and more. My daughter and I loved the pools and the lazy river. They never got too crowded and have good space and seating. I do wish they had a little more shaded areas available, but that is a minor qualm. The lazy river is also a kids area pool that is mostly shallow and safe for children to run and play in the water. The main pool offers food, music and shows. We were a little bummed as on Thursday's they perform a Polynesian night and it stormed so we were not able to watch the show, but I have heard it is really good. Definitely make plans to see if it you stay here. They also have movie nights and activities for the kids. The activities have free and paid options and the prices seemed reasonable ($5 - $30 range). The resort does offer beach access via a bus shuttle service. These are conveniently located throughout the resort and the drivers are on time, everytime! They do a very good job as a team and were all very friendly. You can also go to the gym and indoor pool building and ask for National Park passes. They offer two that are within miles to the resort. I would recommend using this if you want a more quiet beach experience as most people do not use these passes and when we went we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Myrtle Beach is usually a packed house so this is one way to enjoy some privacy and the beach is nice. Out of the two options I would recommend visiting the Huntington Beach State Park. It was very nice and offered alot of nature options if you enjoy adventure. The rooms were nice and spacious. The beds, furniture and pillows were all just ok. We traveled with multiple families (with kids) and had an adjoining room set up. It provided us all plenty of space and everything worked as expected. I will say the walls here are very solid as we could not hear anything in each other's rooms when the doors were shut. This was nice for privacy and if you go to bed earlier than others. Friends and family can hang out in the main room without worrying about disturbing anyone else. Overall we enjoyed our time at the Grand Palms Resort and hope you enjoy your visit too. Enjoy!

I booked through RCI. I have been here before so I knew what to expect. The last time it was Plantation Villas or something to that effect. They changed check in from the front of the building to the back so if you follow gps, turn onto Platt Blvd or you will drive in circles. Easy check in and check out. I booked a one bedroom this time because it’s all that was available. I definitely prefer the two bedroom with a full kitchen. The one bedroom only contains a microwave and a small fridge with tiny freezer. The grounds are taken care of and the resort is clean including the rooms. They fix anything brought to their attention quickly, ie a broken pool ladder. Someone was working on it within 10 minutes of it being reported. The outdoor pool is beautiful. Very large and goes to 4.5 feet. There is also a small kids pool and a great hot tub. There is a snack bar at the main pool. Soft rock music plays starting from 10am. Pool opens at 7 and closes at 10. I don’t think people know because the pool is empty up to 9am. If you want peace and quiet for a little bit, go when they open. Towels are provided for beach and pool. This week there was a problem replenishing them. It always seemed to be empty. There are events during the week at the pool including a hula and fire show starting at 730pm which runs about an hour. I suggest getting there before 7 and sitting on the side of pool closer to the stage. It’s harder to see when people start standing up and blocking the view. There is also a kids pool and play area across from the main pool. There is a lazy river in that area. There is also an indoor pool and game room which I didn’t visit. A nice added feature is the beach shuttle. It runs every hour between 9am and 4pm. Return trips are 1015 to 515. It’s about a 10 minute ride to the beach. You could drive, it costs $2 per hour for parking at the public beach. I always enjoy my stay here. Would definitely book again.

We have a timeshare here for over 30 years. We have always loved coming. We are in the Presidential Area. 3 bedrooms. I asked to be close to the pool because I had back surgery and have spinal stenosis. I can't walk far at all. They had us in the last suit and I ask to be closer. The lovely host where we get our parking pass changed it immediately. 231. Very easy access to the pool, where I spend most my time. The staff is amazing. I had someone come and show us how to work the tv remote and the light switch. They are new to us. The man was so wonderful about helping. I called guests services to get some more pans and lids. I was very disappointed with what they had here to cook with. 2 frying pans and 2 sauce pans, no lids. I called to get a stock pot. I love to cook but very little to work with. I ask about a mixer. They dont supply it. They never hesitated to bring anything we needed that they had though. I didn't know we had to bring things we needed. The water to the kitchen sink was just barely warm and the dishes wouldn't get clean in the dw. But again, I called and they came right up and turned up the hot water tank. The new tvs were so crystal clear. It was beautifully remodeled. Just so beautiful. I loved the new look. The king sized beds definitely needs new mattresses. I was sleeping in a hole. We changed beds and it was a little better. My back needs a good support with all the rods and screws in it. Somehow I think they would have tried to fix it. They are always working around on the property. The pool area is so wonderful and comfortable. The outside of the doors needed painted to our place. Minor detail. Ive never been disappointed in the service. The people are top notch. So friendly. I really appreciated the woman we talked to about our parking pass and her trying to upgrade our timeshare with Wyndham. I said no, im not a bit interested. She asked why and honestly I just didn't want to. She didn't push me anymore and didn't change her actions with me. Still very sweet. I was extremely tired and in pain from the trip and appreciated her not pushing that on me. Like I said, the people make our stay so nice. I hope im able to make many more trips from WV. Im 71 now and over 30 years Ive enjoyed our vacation each summer. Thank you for the customer service. I would like the same 231 next year. Ps i could hear every step...
