We just arrived into town for our annual beach vacation. Breakfast is not something we usually go out and do but we brought my mom with me this year and she wanted pancakes! Omega pancake house is right around the corner from our condo and they didn’t look super busy yet. When we walked in we were immediately greeted and seated at a 4 top for a party of 2. When our waitress Theresa came to take our drink order, we were also already ready to place our meal order. We ordered a coffee, 2 freshly squeezed orange juice, Blueberry ricotta waffle with bacon, and a side of scrambled eggs and cheese. We also ordered sweet potato pancakes, eggs over medium, and hash brown. The waffle was delicious with fresh blueberries and blueberry syrup. My mom LOVED her sweet potato pancakes with homemade cinnamon butter. The bad… some of the food was obviously precooked early in the morning. I understand that this is a vacation destination so they want to get people in and out fast and remaking popular sides makes it more efficient to turn tables but I’m very disappointed. Almost $7 for a side of bacon that was absolutely inedible. It was as chewy as a dog treat. The scrambled eggs also taste like a hotel continental breakfast… premade and my cheese was just sprinkled on top. The eggs weren’t even hot enough to melt the cheese like they have been sitting prior to turning them into scrambled eggs and cheese. The hash brown again, tasted like it was precooked early that morning and just slapped on the plate when they received our ticket. The only thing hot and fresh were the pancakes and waffle. Everything else was a disappointment. We ordered a Greek burrito to go and my boyfriend said it tasted alright.
Our server was lovely but we probably won’t be back if we are ever in the mood for breakfast again. Hopefully we can find somewhere that provides made to order during the rest...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant zero stars I absolutely would. As a Myrtle beach local I am baffled how they are still in business. My husband ordered the Philly steak omelette which barely had any filling in it, BUT DID HAVE A LONG HAIR IN IT. I ordered the cinnamon roll waffle with came with eggs and what was supposed to be a sausage patty. The waffle wasn’t even warm enough to melt the butter, the hash browns were refrigerator cold, the sausage that was supposed to be a patty wasn’t warm to the touch and at best was room temperature and looked like a weird miss formed lump of something. I asked the waitress to please microwave my food. This was before my husband discovered the hair in his food. She brings back the plate that was supposed to be microwaved and the food is still cold. My husband shows her the hair clearly cooked in his omelette and she snatched his plate out of his hand and took off. She comes back with a check and says I took it off your check. I looked at her and said my food is still cold, and this is the best part of all. She looks at me and said you want me to microwave it? I told her she was missing the problem that the food should have never been served cold to begin with. She said well we are busy and the kitchen is backed up. So yes I just paid $29 and some change to drink a half of glass of orange juice. We asked to speak to a manager at the checkout register and was told there were none available. We expressed our concerns at the register and she told us to address it with our waitress. Highly disappointed and disgusted at the bad attitudes and lack of care that was shown. Drive just a little further and choose Johnny D’s this place is not worth spending even a single dollar on. We as locals will...
Read moreOn 6/23/24 I visited this business for breakfast and found some snot (mucus) on the table where I sat down. I asked for the manager or owner who finally showed up. I had taken it up from my table with a napkin. When she came (Maria was the name she reluctantly gave me after I asked her three times), I asked her to look at the napkin and tell me what it was. Her first guess was banana. So, I told her to guess again. She played like she couldn’t think of anything else. So, I told her it was snot or mucus from someone's nose. Being a retired Respiratory Therapist and having dealt with mucus for a living for 50 years, I know exactly what it was!!!! I left for the bathroom and returned and can't know for certain if it was there when I was seated or not. At any rate someone put it there while I was going to the restroom, or the table was not clean. Either one was not a good reason for me to ever go back. However, who’s than the nasty snot or mucus was Maria's attitude toward me. She never offered an apology to me and rudely asked me what I wanted her to do without batting an eyelid. She was as nasty as the "snot" on my table. I asked her what did she think she should do? She took my check (bill) and told me she would "fix it" then rudely walked away. NEVER APOLOGIZED or offered any remedy for my horrible experience. MY BEST ADVICE TO MY BLACK BROTHERS AND SISTER IS NOT TO VISIT OMEGA (GREEK WORD FOR LAST) PANCAKE HOUSE AS IT WILL BE MY ALPHA (FIRST) AND OMEGA (LAST) VISIT TO A FITTING NAME FOR A NASTY EATING PLACE! White people you are probably safe going there! Oh, and yes I took a picture and when I told "Maria" the fake owner (which I cannot believe). She asked me why did I took a picture? MY PHONE, MY CAMERA, MY...
