Local artists and vendors are also well represented through the shop so shopping here supports multiple local artists, which is important to me. It is always worth the thirty minute drive for me to visit Stay Gold Books. I am a librarian, so I've been to a lot of libraries as well as bookstores, and Stay Gold stands out among them as one of the most well-curated, safe, and welcoming spaces I've ever encountered. The small yet mighty store, along with the owners and employees, exude passion, integrity, and warmth, which is incredibly important to me when it comes to deciding where to spend money on books. My family and I are obsessed with this bookstore. Their curation of books is so complementary to critical discourse in our world today. They have such an awesome selection of books about Pittsburgh and books by Pittsburgh authors, as well as globally renowned authors and novels.
