Hobby Lobby — Local services in Sylacauga

I give 4 stars because Ive been there twice. Once during Christmas and once during the 2023 Yarn Blowout sale. They didnt have purple ornaments which made me sad. Then during the yarn sale one of the workers was reducing items and I asked them how long it might be. They said they were getting to it. I waoked around the store for nearly 2 hours just taking my time, and I came back and the sake workers were there yet no yarn clearance. Another person was there asking about the yarn and they were very rude to her about the yarn sale and said they will get to it when they get to it. They said come back in a few days mayve then. I came back two days later. Still no huge clearance except for the hand dyed yarns ...... Just very disappointing because its an hour drive to get there and I went TWICE.

But overall, their store is very clean and mostly stocked up items. All the workers seem very nice except for that one I mentioned. But people are people. Probably just had a lot of people ask maybe? Idk. But I always love HL and their items. Especially getting a lot of stuff at a discount after the "season is over" We spent over $700 there in just a few days. And They yarn that was on sale. I bought $950 worth of yarn for only $250 which is quite a deal. But it wasnt their whole inventory. Ill at least get to donate those yarns to local charities and people in need. We donate the yarn to old people homes to help them with daily life and they love it. Anyways 4/5 because they didnt have what i needed twice at...

Loved this store until I just went and try to buy a curtain rod, and curtains and there was a 50% off sign that was throwing us off so the manager at the register did explain it, but even when we were a little frustrated her and another younger girl who works the front wanted to roll their eyes, I guess even when we were frustrated we're not allowed to be as customers to voice or concerns, signing could've been displayed better. And when I called the younger girl out the manager wanted to get an attitude, but you don't just roll your eyes and get frustrated at my family when we're customers in your store. Unfriendly service and that's why I put everything back at the register. The Manager's name was Paige. I don't know the cashier, but had the younger girl not rolled her eyes and seemed rude and theyr turned their little heads I would've not said nothing. I normally love hobby lobby. I'm in this store nearly every week to buy supplies for children's church crafts.

Today was horrible!! First I tried to find an employee to help me locate an item. Attempted to stop an employee headed to the back who ignored me. Went to front for help (where every employee was gathered) and someone from fabric assisted me (SHE was GREAT), but then the lines (only 2 registers open) were horrible. So slow.. then they open another register and this lady with a butt load of stuff jumps ahead and then WRITES A CHECK? (who does this in modern society??)
