Update: I have visited this restaurant over half a dozen times since this initial review and I can proudly say that my concerns on the food and service are no longer an issue. This place is busy but definitely solid.
The restaurant is clearly visible and relatively easily accessible from a nearby intersection. The interior has roughly 8 booths for four and two tables, one for a medium seating and one for a large that accommodates around 8 people.
I had the spicy sushi entree. The soup and salad are spectacular and what you would expect. The sushi however was... not so great. It wasn't BAD, mind you, but it is the quality and consistency I would expect from a sushi buffet, not a sit down restaurant without a buffet. It appears as if it was prepared far in advance of being served and the meat was more the ground up consistency of sausage.
I am going to return later and try the hibachi and see how that turns out, but I would recommend staying away from the sushi if you have had anything beyond buffet-grade at any other sushi restaurants. In sincerely hope this was isolated to this dish only, given the other images I see, but still it is...
Read moreI had an amazing dining experience at Tokyo Sushi! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. My server was exceptionally sweet and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect throughout my meal.
For my appetizer, I ordered spring rolls and soft shell crab, both of which were crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. For my main course, I went with the Black Dragon Roll, which was absolutely delicious. The combination of fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors made every bite a delight. To top it all off, I indulged in strawberry mochi for dessert—light, refreshing, and the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal.
If you’re looking for great sushi in a welcoming environment, Tokyo Sushi is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning to try more from their menu....
Read moreI'm not sure how to rate this but Tokyo Sushi Hibachi and Asian use to be my go to for fried rice; However, I do not like eggs in my fried rice. Since Tokyo opened, I use to order fried rice with no eggs every time and then one day I called, the owner answered (who almost, always took my order), and I asked for the same thing. She stated they can't make fried rice with no eggs and I stated, "that's how I normally get them" and she said, "the rice is already premade with the eggs." I know the rice is already cooked in hibachi restaurants but shouldn't the eggs get added when recooking the rice on the hibachi grill. When she stated it was already premade, had me thinking they cook a huge batch of rice and eggs, and when someone orders, they reheat it.
Hate that they no longer offer the option to get fried rice with no eggs, because I really liked their food but I won't...
