The food was good. Great service, as always.
Update 8/23/24: The food and service were still good. But, THE FILTH! I gave only one star for food because I don't trust that it was clean/safe. I ddn't realize how dirty the place was before we ordered. Our feet were sliding on the greasy dining room floor. The table had been "cleaned" off, but still had remnants of food from the previous customers. And the worst was the kitchen. The floor there was littered with food/trash. The grills appeared to have not been stone-cleaned in weeks. The hoods were dirty. And, the waffle machines had 1/4"-1/2" of built-up residue near the hinges. The cook was even eating toast in the kitchen (another health violation). When I looked for their health inspection rating, I couldn't find it.
Update 8/6/25: The cleanliness issues noted last year have been addressed.
When my wife and I arrived today, the store was open, but there was no one inside. We waited a couple of minutes, and got a bit "spooked" that something was wrong. We went outside and asked the police to come and make sure everything was okay. An officer arrives shortly, and found a young lady inside. We went inside and were seated. The server took our our order, but there was no cook present. Shortly, a young man arrived in a truck and started preparing the order. The manage also came in shortly after the cook.
We both ordered the MVP breakfast. Everything was cooked to order, but each of us had 2 half-strips of bacon on our plates instead of the 3 strips that are supposed to come with the meal. I notified the server, who told the manager. The manage got out one strip of bacon and put it on the grill. It came to us as 2 half strips. So, even after complaining that we had been shorted, we got a total of 3 full strips of bacon instead of the 6 that should have been on...
Read moreI rarely take the time to write reviews, but today’s experience left me no choice. I visited this restaurant with high hopes, remembering past visits where the service was exceptional and the food comforting. Unfortunately, what I encountered today was a stark contrast.
Upon arrival, we followed the posted instructions to “Please Wait to Be Seated.” We waited patiently for 15 minutes, watching staff rush past us without acknowledgment, clearly overwhelmed and struggling to keep up. Dirty dishes were stacked across countertops, and the atmosphere felt chaotic and neglected.
Eventually, it wasn’t staff who helped us — it was other patrons who informed us that they had been told to seat themselves. We followed suit and sat at a dirty table. A staff member passed by twice before finally clearing the dishes, but didn’t clean or sanitize the table until I asked. Though they were polite and offered repeated apologies, the lack of basic hospitality was hard to ignore.
To make matters worse, we witnessed two other customers walk in, seat themselves, and receive prompt service — menus, orders taken, everything — within minutes. The inconsistency was glaring.
When our food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best, and the orange juice tasted watered down. It was a disappointing end to an already frustrating experience.
I’m not writing this for sympathy, but in hopes that management sees this as a call for help. This establishment clearly needs support — whether in staffing, training, or leadership. Sadly, I won’t be returning, not for dine-in or takeout, and that’s a shame given the fond memories I...
Read moreWe eat here pretty regularly, and everything keeps getting worse and worse. Staff can’t handle it when it’s busy, and the food quality is horrible now. My little girl ordered a grilled cheese and a strawberry waffle. The grilled cheese was grilled bread with a piece of Kraft single. Her waffle had ONE strawberry and a little strawberry sauce. I ordered a BLT with no mayo and it had mayo oozing out of it. I couldn’t get it fixed because at no time was the waitress available to even check on us. We waited 10 minutes just to get a drink! I told her about the BLT when we paid and she asked if I got to eat it, three bites were taken out of one half, and I assumed she wouldn’t be charging me. Instead she asked if I was using tap to pay, I was, and she didn’t even show me the total, she just ran my card for $31 and that meal was maybe worth $10. No receipt. She just ran my card for however much she decided was appropriate, and it wasn’t appropriate for the food. Get more staff. Return to some sort of quality food. And don’t ever run someone’s card without showing them the total of what you’re running. You want to charge more for things like eggs but you dont want to provide even decent service or food. I’ll be seeing what I can do about my card being run for an amount I never even saw until I left. You can post a response apologizing and saying you value feedback, but this was just flat wrong and borderline unethical to just charge whatever without the customer knowing what...
