When I first started vaping, I wanted to check out all the shops in Jackson County to find the best suited store/environment for my needs. I found that there were 7 retail shops that sold vaping supplies county wide, five of which were in Sylva. I managed to visited all of them in about a weeks time. Some of the things I was looking for when conducting my study were Cleanliness, a positive atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable staff, and a variety of product. University Vape excels in all of these plus more. Franklin, the shop manager, makes the store great. He is knowledgeable, personable and and has proven to be honest. Even when I had issues and was prepared to purchase a new mod, he was able to easily fix my issue for only $15. Because of this, I am a dedicated customer. Over the past eight weeks I visit on average 3-4 times per week and have purchased from them a Mod, Batteries/charger, 2 tanks, several coils approximately 15 bottles of e-Juice, and a few water pipe accessories. I ask several questions on my visits and Franklin as well as Garren, always give great answers/advise and never seem put off by the monotony. They have made me a more knowledgeable vapor and therefore a safer vapor. The one negative I will bring to your attention is that I have recently learned that the house juice Lola's Tonic may be no more. I have sampled countless flavors both house and premium and my top two are from the Lola's tonic collection. Pink Square and Lola's Rainbow are my favorite, but Fruit Stripe, Blueberry Parfait and Cotton Candy are very good as well and at only $10 for 30ml, there is no one who sells that kind of quality at that low of a price. Now out of both of my favorites I may have to look elsewhere for something that is comparable meaning another shop or internet. I would much prefer to spend my money locally and support my favorite shop which has been very good to me. #savelola. If you would like to contact me, Franklin will most likely know who I am by reading this review and has my...
Read moreI'm extremely old school when it comes to service. I want to shop local and I want to be known and recognized as a regular. I don't need anyone to throw rose petals at my feet or shout "Norm" when I walk in the door, but I do want to feel in our interaction that my presence and my choice to bring my business exclusively to a store is appreciated.
The manager and employees of this location LISTEN to me, know me, and have made an effort to interact with me in the way that meets my needs and makes me feel comfortable.
Additionally, they are knowledgeable and make great recommendations based on feedback they've asked for of prior purchases. 'How did you like that 'xyz' last week?....(my answer).... In that case you might wanna check out 'abc' which has that part you like but not that part you didn't like. Also, guess what we got in this week?! That flavor you like IN YOUR FAVORITE BRAND!'
More than once I've gone out of town for a few weeks, and almost always I get the message from my husband while I'm away, "Went to Lola's today, they asked about you."
Now for the best part! When I first started going in I wasn't happy about one small aspect of their service. It was minor in general but major to me. Before I quit shopping there I spoke with Kyle to tell him why I was unhappy. He could have told me to go kick rocks if I didn't like their policy.
Instead he said, "Thanks for telling me, let's talk about it, and please tell me how we can best meet YOUR needs and make you a happy customer who enjoys coming in."
And then, clearly, they did! I really like this clean store and their great products. I LOVE their...
Read moreI tried this place once before, months ago and decided then that I was never going back. I spent years working as a personal trainer and gym manager here in Sylva and as soon as vaping hit the market I always encouraged my clients to seek it out as a way to kick the cigarette habit, then when I became injured myself I started vaping CBD oil. I have tried to give these guys their shot but they just do not have a clue what they are doing, they even sold me the wrong coil for my mod AFTER I showed it to their staff member. And today I hear from a co-worker that he went in there and had a WORSE experience than I did, and just figured it was easier to go buy a new pack of cigarettes than it would be to switch because the staff frustrated him so badly. This place is a joke that is trying to jump on board to make some cash. They don't know what they are doing and the liquid tastes cheap and expired, maybe that's why they have such "low prices". These guys have worse customer service than calling frontier, they are the dollar tree of liquid, and they know as much about vaping as the lumber guy at lowes does about gardening. I'm not telling anyone where to buy their stuff, but I know when I try to help people find a vape store I will tell them...
