I have a concern WITH THE SALON. After my last Pedi I got a toe nail fungus. Which can be transfered from customer to customer by not sterilizing the tools. They use the same tools on each customer which are taken out of baskets or plastic containers used by the nail Tech. At first I didn't think anything of it until I got t he toe nail fungus. According to NC board Cosmetology Of Art all tools should be sterilizing.
Consumer Information MMA is prohibited for use or possession in North Carolina salons.
Licensees must wash their hands between client services. Hot wax containers should never be left uncovered. Any disposable implement such as orange sticks, emery boards, facial sponges, toe separators, wax applicators should be discarded after use, never reused. A good rule of thumb is "disinfect or discard." Absolutely every item of equipment must be disinfected or discarded. Only non-porous items are capable of meeting the EPA standard of disinfection. Dry storage of disinfected tools requires isolation from contaminated items. Clippers must be cleaned, disinfected and stored in a closed container between uses. Disinfectants should never come in contact with a client's skin, all tools and implements must be thoroughly rinsed and dried. North Carolina issues a sanitation grade to each salon and the grade card must be displayed at all times.

Read moreI picked this place based on shining reviews. My pedicure looks and was, amazing. My manicure experience was not my favorite. I started with one guy who was very heavy handed, he made me bleed several times and hurt my cuticles. He was not gentle at all and he was HEAVY with the acrylic.... leaving gaps between acrylic and my nail. (Please see photos of mint and white nails) I brought it to his attention that I wasn't really loving the way my nails turned out. He smarted off that he'd been doing nails for 18 years, I'd be fine. Disappointed, I went to wash my hands and then got passed off to someone else for Polish. He asked me about my nails and I shared I didn't love them. He said not to worry, he'd fix them. He was way nicer, much lighter handed and did clean up the previous guys mess A LOT....but honestly they still look clunky and thick. I'm not in love with my nails and spent 100$ between the two services. I wish they'd have removed the one guys work and completely redone them. My friend had her nails done all by the one guy with lighter hands and hers are beautiful. I'm not sure I'll return and the experience with the first guy hurt my review. He did a horrible job on my nails and took some joy out of...
Read moreI’m really frustrated and disappointed to have to make this review. I love this salon and, specifically, Peter who does an amazing job with SNS. However, the salon does not respect appointments. I have just left for the third time in a row without getting any services done because they keep slipping people in and not being ready anywhere near my appointment time to start my nails. The first two times I got there 10-15 minutes before my appointment and waited 30 minutes past my appointment time and ended up leaving because I had other obligations. For today’s appointment, I called ahead and discussed the issue and they supposedly made a note about me not having any wait. I did get there two minutes late today because of construction and traffic but when I walked in he was already working with another client and had been for some time. When I said I had an appointment with Peter, the manager/owner said it will be 30 minutes and that Peter had been waiting for me for 20 minutes. None of that was true because I was only late by 2 minutes and he’d clearly been working with this client for longer than 2 minutes. I guess it’s time to start looking for...
