Estate Jewelers — Local services in Sylvania

This review is way late, but nevertheless, I was just thinking about this so I decided to write a review.

I've dealt with Estate Jewelers twice, the second time I took some jewelry to them to sell and they gave me good price for it. Simple, easy transaction.

The first transaction I had with them was what really impressed me. A little backstory:

My mother bought herself a cameo ring back in the late 1960s, shortly after she graduated high school. It caught her eye in the store, but it was too expensive....at first. Eventually it went on sale for an excellent price, so she splurged. She wore that ring all through my childhood, and I coveted it. 😂 Despite the sentimental value it had for her, it became my high school graduation present.

When I moved out on my own, I left it with her for safekeeping and she eventually started wearing it again. But the cameo had worn down over the years, and ended up falling out and getting lost.

Somehow I managed to find one on eBay shortly before her birthday one year, with the exact same setting and exact cameo (or very close, since these are hand-carved) but I needed to have it resized to fit her. The ring arrived on a Friday or Saturday, (memory is hazy) and her birthday was on Monday. I called Estate Jewelers to see about resizing; they normally had a week turnaround. I told them the above story and they said they could have it done by Monday.

They called me later the same day; their jewelry person was off that weekend so they got it done right away.

They did a beautiful job, and the price they charged was very reasonable. The replacement ring I bought was in excellent condition to begin with, but it looked brand-new after the resizing. I haven't needed to sell, purchase, or have anything repaired on recent years, but I would recommend Estate...

We use Estate jewelry from our relationships with both Jason kangas n Greg L. They both are employees of estate jewelers

We've known Jason for atleast 20/25 years from Foster's jeweler's n others ...and knowing Gregg also from Pandora n Fosters

Jason has sold us jewelry n had custom made jewelry items made for us, seeing that estate jewelers has Jason on there staff has allowed us to use estate jewelry as my jewelry repair n source for jewelry whether from estate items or new items.. . I've followed Jason to his various career opportunities.. .in the jewelry area of his expertise...

Jason n Bill just repaired my college class rings by resizing n repairing the crack in the ring n reantiqtued the rings. Great..job n pricing ...

Jason has also found me a new 10ct chain ring to replace a lost wedding band ring after we checked estates inventory to see they had from estates ..

Additional Jason is looking at n for another ring that I'm interested in with a Batman theme .

Plus my wife has been at estate jewelers pertaining to her mother's jewelry that the family has that they were determining values n if the family has interests in selling or adding to her estate n giving to close family members...as a momento or heirloom

FYI The staff at estate jewelers has been phenomenal with n thru Jason n Greg has made us very comfortable at estate jewelers in answering our questions n needs n wants.

I brought an heirloom watch (which was not working) to Estate Jewelry to see if they offered repair and cleaning services so it could be gifted to a great-granddaughter for graduation. They told me what could be done for it and the time frame it could take so I would have the information. They gave me a box to present it in. Since time was tight, I gave it as the gift (in the lovely box), with the knowledge it would be sent off and repaired. It brought tears to her eyes since the receipt passing of our grandmother, meant so much to her. After giving the gift to her, I returned to Estate Jewelry to send off the watch, they performed an appraisal for me and packed the watch up and sent it out, answering any of the questions I had about the process. I received a call about a week or so later telling me what would need to be done to repair it and the costs, asking if that was acceptable. I agreed and was excited to see it return, which was only about a week later ( it was having repairs, and a complete overhaul which included cleaning and polishing). It came back like new! It is beautiful and keeping time perfectly. The cost was totally acceptable and was much less than I thought it would be even. Estate Jewelry made this piece a beautiful heirloom that will pass down for generations. I will think of them every time I am in need of jewelry repair and when looking for a unique piece of vintage jewelry (I glanced around the store briefly while in there). It was a...
