Phantom Sound, along with their contractor, Digital Spectrum Solutions, sold and installed an alarm system in my home during construction. However, it seems the system they installed was outdated, with the installer claiming it was designed "light years before" and was incompatible with the software. As a result, I couldn’t automate the alarm to turn on or off at scheduled times. Why would anyone install such an outdated system in a brand new home, knowing it wouldn't work with the software in use?
When I confronted them with this issue, both the installer and Phantom Sound pointed fingers at each other and blamed the builder instead of taking responsibility. To make matters worse, I never received a return call from the sales person at Phantom Sound. Eventually, I had to switch to ADT, who installed a new system at an additional cost of $2,200. This new system works perfectly and came with additional features including wifi controlled locks. I paid more than that for the old system which didn't include any wifi locks.
Installing an outdated system in a new, high-end home feels completely dishonest. Phantom Sound and Digital Spectrum Solutions is now off my list of preferred and recommended vendors. Honesty, Integrity and Accountability seems to be seriously lacking!
