We have been fans of Hurt's Donuts for many years, often traveling to Iowa City, IA to visit family when we first encountered them. The new location in Cincinnati is a much closer drive from Columbus over IA, so needless to say, we were very happy. The store had many of the favorites that we love but notably were missing some including our favorite Cherry Strudel donut. The donuts we ended up with were a good as we expected.

The apple fritter, one of my most favorite treats, was delicious. It has delightfully crunchy bits with that cinnamony apple flavor. They are ridiculously large, as big as my head, so they are meant to be shared or eaten over a couple of days. But I won't judge if you eat the whole thing in one sitting, it is that good!

The custard filled donuts are also a favorite with a great vanilla flavored custard and a chocolate topping. We also love the cherry pie donut with its tart cherries pooled in the middle!

Although I have never ordered one, the cinnamon rolls are on my list to try. They too are ridiculously large and will definitely need to be shared! We also have our eye on the oatmeal cream pie for our next visit as well!

The staff were friendly and super helpful. They also took our feedback, specifically on our desire to see the cherry strudel donut in the case permanently. I recommend the experience of Hurt's Donut Co. to fill your sweet tooth anytime day or night as they are open 24/7. We will definitely be back, even having to drive...

Hurts Donuts is hands down one of the best places I’ve been for donuts! The variety they offer is truly impressive, and they have something for everyone, no matter what your taste preferences are. Whether you’re into classic flavors or more adventurous combinations, they’ve got you covered. I was blown away by the sheer number of options available—there are donuts topped with candy bars, cereal, and even an entire lineup of Oreo-inspired ones! If you’re a fan of Oreo, you’ll be in heaven here with all the creative ways they incorporate it into their donuts.

Personally, my favorites were the Old Fashioned and Birthday Cake donuts. The Old Fashioned had that perfect balance of a slightly crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful inside, while the Birthday Cake donut was sweet but not too heavy with a nice frosting. Both were incredibly fresh and delicious. Honestly, it was hard to choose, and I could have easily walked out with a dozen more!

The shop itself is super cute, with a fun and quirky vibe that makes it a joy to visit. It’s clear they put a lot of thought into the atmosphere, which adds to the whole experience. The staff was really patient and kind as I took my time making a decision, which I appreciated because it’s not easy to choose when you’re faced with so many options lol.

Overall, Hurts Donuts is a must-visit if you’re a donut lover. The variety, the quality, and the fun atmosphere make it a place you’ll want to return to...

My teen daughter and I went on Saturday 1/28 so they’ve been open 3 full weeks. It was 3pm and we waited for 45 minutes. I had heard the line has been nearly 2 hours at times so it was ok. Was it worth the wait?- yes. Could it have gone faster- also yes. The only negative thing I have to say is that there are 20 people walking around behind the counter. They’re all very busy but only 2 girls will boxing orders for customers on a 20 foot long counter. There should have been 4 or 5 people getting orders filled. A little worse-ONE cashier. The design would have greatly benefited from 2 registers. The time issues would be cut in half.

Now for the good- the donuts really are amazing. I’m a yeast donut lover and the case has about 75% cake. That said, both styles were tasty, very fresh and big! We taste tested several at home with my family. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake yeast donut. My husband and son loved the German chocolate cake. The maple bacon long johns were heaven on earth. We also purchased an oatmeal pie I forgot to photograph, that was as big as my head. We cut it pie shape and all had a taste- this was my favorite item. Soft and fresh, great filling. We will 100% go back regularly for...
