After reading the reviews, maybe this was just a fluke of an experience, but we didn’t have a great time. We made reservations (you pre-pay when making them) and we got there a few minutes early. We were the only customers at first and the gentleman working acted like we were inconveniencing him by being there. Once he told us our lane he walked away and we had to call him back for shoes. We got situated at our lane and I went to go get us some beer and water. It was $21 for a small pitcher (roughly 2.5 pints) and 2 generic small bottles of water. The beer was flat and wasn’t very good (Coors Light) and it tasted like their lines needed cleaning. The alleys looked clean and in good shape but the shoes were falling apart and the balls were in desperate need of being replaced. We also made our reservation from 5-6:30 because that’s when Glow Bowl was advertised. I’m from Wisconsin where bowling is a religion, so I grew up bowling all of the time so maybe my expectations were too high, but it took another customer complaining at about 5:45 for them to start Glow Bowling. An employee spent about 5 minutes yelling across the bowling alley to the front desk man asking him what to do. He just yelled back & never bothered getting up. Eventually a few black lights and discos balls were turned on along with some outdated music at such a low volume you couldn’t hear it over the bowling. Like I said, maybe my expectations are too high, but I know Glow Bowl to be bright fun lights, loud upbeat music, glow in the dark pins with prizes if you knock them all down. This was just pretty depressing. We wanted to support a local business but they seemed less than thrilled that any customers were there. We didn’t even stay our full 1.5 hours because we just weren’t having much fun. The employee did tell me, when I was getting beer, that summers are really slow, which made me wonder why they weren’t putting in some effort to make the six lanes of customers have an amazing experience. With bowling, drinks, snacks we spent about $100 for two people, so you’d think our business would be welcomed. Anyhow, we won’t be going back, which is a bummer bc we so wanted to love Chalet and join a league this fall. Hope everyone else has better...
Read moreUpdated Great and clean place to bowl. Actually one of the cleanest bowling alleys I have went to. The lanes and monitor setups are really well maintained and newer in age. They have a small selection of beer. The owner and or the guy who takes your payment is pretty rude. He was very unwelcoming and treated multiple people in my group as if we were a inconvenience being there. But other then that it's a great place to bowl. I would recommend going here but also would recommend to be careful because their bowling floors are really over waxed and slick.
One of the owners responded back to my post and Insinuated that maybe I did not bowl here since I wrote multiple reviews in one day but I assure you I definitely went here. Sorry that I write reviews when I get some extra time. I do not appreciate you trying to rudely discredit my review that I originally gave you 3 stars and really didn't say anything bad about the experience until I updated my post. went here August 17th with a large group before I went around the corner to eat at Cactus the restaurant with the same group. I believe we had 10 adults and 13 kids. We had 3 lanes and we paid for a total of 15 people to bowl. We spent alot of money here amongst our group. Most of us were actually surprised with how much our bills were. Expensive but understanding it's hard times and my whole group believes in helping locals so none of us really complained. We were kicked out at 8pm since they were open for very limited hours. Actually all of us got charged for a full game of bowling for our last game that none of us got to finish since they were closing the place up. I think my lane got in 4 frames in before they told us they were closing but we still was charged for a full game each person. Only bowling alley I know that is open only a couple hours a day even right now during covid. The facility I would rate 5 stars. The price all of us paid for a short time of bowling I would rate 1 star and then the customer service to include the people taking the drink orders I would rate 1 star as well. But the facility itself is in great shape and worth bowling at, just surround yourself with...
Read moreSo we had to relocate a planned birthday party due to weather and we were pleased to find Chalet available. We had other indoor choices such as The Children's Museum but overall when we compared price and space and service provided Chalet was our first choice. The staff was polite and attentive and was ready to respond to our needs/wants. The scheduled 02:00:00 was plenty of time for folks to have a decent time and kids (4yrs and up) not to get bored and at its conclusion there wasn't a sense that we were being shoved out the door. In terms of facility it was clean and organized compared to the bowling alleys of my youth (I'm 39) I was pleased it didn't smell like old beer and failure. Food was good enough, I'm used to pizza on par with Apizza Scholls in Portland OR so there is really no way for a bowling alley to compete. If the owners get the chance to buy out either one of their neighbors it'd be a solid step to open a restaurant whose kitchen also served the bowling alley. Beer selection was good. Would definitely recommend...
