The Pacific Northwest Shop — Local services in Tacoma

My husband and I stopped in looking for some traditional WA gifts for me to take back to friends in Hawai'i. This is a lovely shop and was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. It is a bit on the spendy side, but has some great selections of local products. They did not have smoked salmon that was on our list of items we were searching for, but did offer a recommendation close by where we could find it, which was super helpful. If you are looking specifically for locally made products, be sure to check as there are some that are and some that aren't. When checking out, we mentioned that we were putting together gift bags. I came across some of this store's products on Amazon as I was putting together multiple gift baskets for family to take with me on vacation. I don't particularly have anything to say about the products as I will not be the one to use/eat/enjoy them but the customer service is awesome!!!

I had ordered something on Amazon based on the text description. When the items shipped to me, the size of the product was not as listed in the Amazon description. I called the store (didn't realize I was so close and I actually ended up paying $10 for shipping) and they said there was a mix-up. They offered for me to come by the next day to give me two more for free! It was no fuss at all. NOT SAFE FOR PEOPLE OF COLOR I went there recently with a friend while waiting for a seat at a nearby restaurant. It was a very cute shop. But while we were browsing we were profiled and asked if we needed anything. We were the only ones in the store that was asked this question. I waited to see if the lady would ask anyone else and they didn’t. They have a sign out front that says everyone is welcome but they forgot to mention that they will treat you suspiciously if your skin is darker than theirs.
