This place was a great place until yesterday (Friday, December 22nd, 2023). I'm a repeat customer who wanted to use the restroom first before I ordered a drink. The bathrooms now have locks on them. I asked for the code to use the restroom and the lady said she did not recognize me being a repeat customer and could not give me the code. She's has helped me before. It goes to show you how much of a small brain she has for not remembering. Anyway. I left the store and went to University Place Cutters Point and they were closed, and it was only around 5:30pm. Then I drove across the bridge to Gig Harbor to the flagship store to get my last drink I'll ever get from Cutters Point, due to their inability to cater to their loyal customers to let them use the restroom without any questions asked. Read moreStopped in after the gym, waiting for my fiancé and brother to finish their workout. Assumed Apple Pay would work. I was greeted promptly and the barista was friendly as I decided what to order. I got an americano and a coconut milk yogurt for myself, and a 20 oz cold brew with no ice for my sweetheart for after his workout.
She told me my price and I had my Apple Pay ready and was told they did not in fact have Apple Pay. I figured I would run and ask my fiancé if he had a card on him, but another barista told the first one to use a gift card. Someone had been in before me and bought a large amount of coffees and left a balance on their gift card, paying forward the caffeine and kindness.

However, listening to the blonde female employee (I didn't catch her name) loudly gab to her close friend/family/whomever she was speaking to while her co-worker cleaned and began closing duties for the entire 30 minutes I was in the store really soured the experience.
From being understaffed in her opinion, to not seeming to understand health code, to complaining about work place policies, there seems to be nothing about her job she likes and nothing she isn't willing to share loudly from behind the counter.
