Reliable Parts — Local services in Tacoma

My dad has used this store for years. This weekend when my oven baking element broke, he suggested I try them for a replacement. I called Reliable & the guy on the phone was very quick & polite, quoted me a price, gave me a part number, & told me it was their most selling & cheapest element. After calling several other stores who wanted twice the price & were not as polite or quick, I headed to the store. It takes me an hour to get to their location but it was worth the drive even with all the babies in the car. The older gentleman very pleasantly asked how he could make my day better as soon as I walked through the door. I was back out the door in 10-15 minuets part in hand. They have an extensive knowledge & wide range of brands & replacement products. I’m going to need a water filter for my fridge as well as a new lightbulb for my microwave & oven. I am a Do-It Yourselfer. I came in needing a part but described it wrong. The gentleman at the counter pulled up the diagram of the microwave I was working on and found the correct part (a fuse). He then pulled an alternative part which was half the cost but was the same thing just made by a different manufacturer. He also printed the diagram of the microwave parts and showed me exactly where the fuse was located. Wow! Then he gave me a discount which reduced the cost of the fuse! I am one happy camper and was able to fix my microwave thanks to the knowledge and help from the friendly gentleman at the counter. You folks...

It bothers me that the only place that any other Appliance repair store recommends is Reliable, the only reliable thing about them is that they choose to be closed during weekends. I think they forget about the other half of the population who works a night shift schedule and physically cannot make into the store during a regular day. Even open on a Saturday for a partial day would be nice. Instead I have to sit frustrated again because I need parts and my no other local stores seem to have any replacement parts.
