Taqueria La Fondita — Restaurant in Tacoma

They really tried to finesse me. I had a twenty dollar bill right? I ordered 4 tacos ($5.99) and 1 Junior burrito ($2.25) and they gave me back a dollar with some change and I was like hold up.... I was like “I gave y’all twenty didn’t I?” And that cashier was like “no you gave me $10” I let it go but was skeptic and she asked “do you want another drink?” And I was like “I’ll get a Pepsi.” And she was like “are you going to pay for it?” And I was like but wait didn’t I give you “twenty?” In my mind and I was like “ha, never mind” as you can see I gave her TWO CHANCES to come forward and I dropped it. Being skeptic I call my dad who gave me the money and he agreed that he to gave me twenty dollars. He comes back and goes talk to the lady and explains it to her and the cashier wants say I didn’t say nothing. WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I really strom out of there mad because she was tryna take me for stupid. Honestly, don’t recommend this place unless you’re trying to get taken advantage of. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Months ago I ordered a torta that came with a coke and the same lady tried to catch attitude because I asked for the drink that she didn’t give to me. Prior to my experience last night I would of given 5 stars. Dont get me wrong,The food is great. I'd never had a poor experience. However, last night i ordered my usual taco plate. And decided to eat in for a change. When asked where i wanted to sit, i asked for a seat at the bar. The bartender making eye contact never took my drink order though helped the other customers. When my food arrived it was prepared to go. Though I'm sure the woman in the kitchen heard my 'for there' order as they were not at all busy. They were not near closing time so i suspect as i was the only white person in the place that this was an act of discrimination. I'm deeply saddened by my experience. i now must find a new staple for my taco fix as i will not be dining here again.

EDIT: I am just now noticing that this review was for the business FOOD TRUCK IN TACOMA! my review was meant foe the RESTAURANT AND NIGHTCLUB IN BURIEN on 1st Ave S. The service, and food at the taco truck was fantastic! Friendly and delicious I felt no rush to hurry my meal and leave though I know they were approaching closing time during my visit. At one point in time this use to be my favorite place but now I’m never going back first the lady told me the price was $14 dollars then when we got the receipt it was $18 She could of easily just told us the correct price and I would of still paid. The prices went up extremely from what they use to be and the portions haven’t changed at all you get the same amount as you did before but your paying more that’s doesn’t make sense because if your prices go up you should at least add a little more because what are we paying the extra money for? Then the lady taking our order had a attitude the whole time like she hasn’t seen us constantly spend money there multiple times before but when she heard us talk about how we weren’t coming back anymore she changed her attitude up. The food honestly isn’t as good as it suppose to be the only reason i continued going was because I use to really like this place and the place I actually want to go to isn’t local.
