I went here for my first time by recommendation and high ratings. I wanted caramel and burgundy highlights and a trim. It took 4 1/2 HOURS and $350 and I didn't even get the results I requested for! I showed Wendy several pics of what I wanted too but she did not deliver at all! I had this same color scheme 10 yrs ago so I know that my hair takes both colors well. I couldn't see any red/burgundy whatsoever and the caramel wasn't even the best! First, they're so thinly placed that it's hardly noticeable plus there's barely any in the back of my hair. When I returned home and really looked at the results, I called and told her I was dissatisfied. That it wasn't what I asked for. She admitted to me that she wasn't satisfied as well with the lack of red results. Why did she let me walk out of there if even she wasn't happy with the end results? So we scheduled a second appt to finish the original job. Already I'm out $350 and almost 5 hours of my time for next to nothing. Now I have to return and dedicate more time into something that should have been already done!? She was going on vacation so she scheduled me for the following morning of her return at 11am. It was almost 2 weeks away!! On that day she didn't even show up until 11:30. I arrived 15 min early so I waited 45 min for her. When she entered she was surprised. She totally forgot about the appt She then said that she doesn't know why she scheduled that because her plane got in that very morning. She then told me that she couldn't do my hair because she "had to go unpack her stuff"! Really? It's vital to unpack clothes right now!? Its not perishable foods or anything. But i understand jet lag. So Wendy asked if I could come back in a few hours or tomorrow!!! Then she said "I will even give you a discount because of this." WHAT!? A DISCOUNT!? On what? A discount on the hair color job that I already paid for and should have been done correctly the first time? Was she expecting for me to PAY her more?! This entire appt was for her to correct her mess up. There's no way that I was going to fork out more money! That's insane! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT ANY SALON! What i got was nowhere near worth $350. When I had this done at Regis 10 years ago (I know prices went up but not to this extreme) it cost me $200, 3 hours and it turned out...

Went to Wendy in August she thee ONLY person that couldn't give me highlights that were light enough. I know my hair I tried explaining to her what I wanted. If u don't think u can do the job Say so! Instead she tried n couldn't even get close. She tries blaming my hair damage n color n blahhhh it's all.non sense she tries speaking professionally at first when it's just a front girl! She gave me chocolate highlights when I wanted anything she can do that is light. Anyways she tells me if I want her to.do my hair again I have to go do treatment on my hair. Spend $60 on this stuff she recommended fast forward when it was time to touch up n lighten it like I originally wanted. Mind u I'm making it known I need it lighter. Idk how she wants but either stylist have used heat in the past and when I try telling her she is the only person that didn't let my hair sit long enough to lift. I mean it's bleach, leave it longer for lighter n she didn't so I'm after this treatment I did so she can do my hair I attempt to make an appointment and while I'm explaining that this time I need it lighter she is telling me she is not the stylist for me. Lol r u kidding. So then why spend money on this treatment only you think will do something to lift it more. So she pretty much doesn't want to do my hair. Then next time don't touch it and recommend to treaty hair w something expensive when u couldn't handle the job. I told her she is qeird n she blocked me on FB. Unprofessional n immature. But what do i expect from someone weird like her. Im glad she did NOT get my hard earned money. This was all in August. Fast forward to today I found a new stylist n low n behold she got my highlights blonde way more noticeable then Wendy and it's the first time someone didn't put me under heat. I posted a pic of my hair today. I know my hair I knew it can get lighter. But ms Wendy tries to act fancy. When she is not at all! She only fakes it to make it. Do not chose her for a stylist. This place is amazing! There’s always a good vibe here and everyone always seems to be enjoying themselves. The owner (Wendy) is very friendly and caring and always makes the environment warm and welcoming. It is hard to find places now days where u can come to relax, talk about your day or what’s going on in life and relax while your hair is being taken care of and get to ultimately leave feeling like a rejuvenated and replenished person. Tommy is one of the stylist there as well and he works on Ethnic, Textured and Natural hair. His work as a stylist is impeccable, his sew-ins, blow-outs, press’s, braids, colour, and general styling is always done to perfection. Finding places around Tacoma for ethnic or textured hair can also be difficult at-least with the type of results that Tommy provides. Overall there will always be comfortable enjoyable conversation and you will leave feeling Brand New!
