Disappointing. Rude service. Cheap divey bar feel. Cloverleaf is a town/neighborhood staple. I have fond memories coming to Cloverleaf, having a beer and a slice with my co-workers. Cloverleaf used to be known for their pizza, but if we are all honest, there are many places that compete well to the leaf and most likely do better. What made Cloverleaf great was the clientele and the loyal patronages. So, Iâm quite disappointed at the treatment we received by one of their male staff members who answered the phone when we called. We get it, youâre busy, you have tasks to do, customers in front of you to serve, and prank calls are a real thing. However, if we learned anything from the pandemic and the big push to support local spots and small businesses, you learned how to deal with to-go orders and do it in a way customers feel their loyalty is valued. This wasnât the case tonight. The guy was rude. He picked up the phone, answered our questions with ONE word. Then told us to call back on an unblocked number, and literally hung up the phone before we could even say âgreat, thank youâ. We didnât realize our number wasnât showing up. So, we did what we were told and called back. No answer. Called again. No answer again. He wasnât going to pick up again. This is unacceptable behavior from a staff member, whoâs job is to run their tasks/business WHILE serving customers. Who wants to support a business that doesnât have an organized process for serving customers in person AND over the phone? Especially when the survival of local businesses are threatened as the years go by. We donât HAVE to come and support your business. We CHOOSE to, but if we are treated poorly by rude and lazy paid staff members who canât be polite for 10 seconds (literally the call lasted 10 seconds, we went back and looked how long it took for this dude to hang up on us), this means we can move along and get great food and great service elsewhere.
After calling back 3 times with no answer, we called Sammyâs Pizza we were treated with kindness and female staff member on the phone was very accommodating, we received our order quickly and our meal at Sammyâs was truly amazing. I am making the effort to write a 5-star review for them after this review.
The Cloverleaf will not stay in business long with this type of service.
Kindness goes a long...
Read moreI have been going to cloverleaf my whole life. I just picked up a pizza from there at 10pm Dec 21st and I have never in my life been served such a nightmare in my life. The pizza was so soggy it separated from the crust edge all the way around and it was more like drinking syrup than eating pizza. The cook that made this should literally be ashamed to serve this. I am not happy at all. Never once have I had a complaint about cloverleaf and I don't typically leave reviews good or bad. But this was just bad. It's the worst food I've ever been served in my entire life. Pizza or anything else. I am still in shock someone would serve this to a human and think it was ok. The worst part the guy who made the pizza knew it was bad. Because he told the server it was very soggy still and had to sit for a bit. I've never in my life heard someone call pizza soggy. So bitter. I was starving and payed 21 00 for mush. Literally. The pics do it no justice. This was not cloverleaf pizza. It was a really really bad that I was served a pizza that was known by the cook to be a problem. This will stick with me for a long time.
I can't respond normally. So this is my response to the owner who responded to my initial review. Couple things. Human error is one thing. Human error and knowing it was an error and not saying anything is a completely different thing. 2nd I tried to call 5 times that night and it was a recording saying don't leave a message because you guys don't monitor it. So your response was frustrating as well. This is the 2nd review I have ever made in my life. So it obviously was bad enough to make me...
Read moreNew spot I was introduced to from Tacoma natives and was super tasty. Pizza is fairly thin and thus smaller for the price though, so all things considered it can be fairly pricey. We had 5 pizzas split among 9 and were pretty full. Despite being thin, it is extremely crisp and crunchy and the abundance of toppings does not break apart instantaneously. Speaking of the toppings, they're pretty generous on topping the pizza and aren't afraid to go all out.
I liked that the cups were frosted - straight from the freezer or cooler. They were also pretty nice cups. I felt like commenting on them although they're not a big deal.
For starters, you get popcorn as an appetizer which was pretty unique and interesting. I suppose it's a nice starter item for conversation and to just rack up the appetite. After that we ordered some garlic bread and cheese curds to start and they were delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with lovely cheesy strings.
The dairy didn't stop there as our pizzas came. While BBQ Chicken is a huge hit at many pizza spots, I didn't enjoy the one here that much. Not sure if it was the green peppers or the other pizzas overshadowing it, but I've had better. However, the Larsen was one we were all excited about and it did not disappoint. One hundred percent recommend the Larsen, or...
