Ordered a Lamb Shawarma and a super gyro online, 1:56 am, arrived 2:20 like the app said, however, didn’t get my food until 2:35 am, then it was the wrong order. I received two regular gyro. When returned to informed that my order was wrong, the gentleman opened the boxes and start picking through both sandwiches and proceeded to show me that he made right. However, in the 13 years I’ve been full Halal I’ve never had a Shawarma that looked like a gyro and their super gyros that I’ve gotten in the past were very generous. However, instead offering to remake or refund he continues to say it’s right even showing me my online receipt, however, I didn’t receive what I order I even showed pics of what shawarma’s supposed to look like and how there’s a clear distinction between the two. He kept saying his English wasn’t great, I’m like but your eyes are and shawarma do not look the exact same. I informed him I’m Muslim too and even offered to converse in Arabic to assist with the language barrier and he just kept showing me the online receipt. After 8 minutes of explaining and trying to get a resolution I just let it go and walked out. No order correction, no refund. Even retied the bag and added more napkins and condiments like he just made me a fresh order. Kinda sucks as this is the only Halal menu that’s open that late...
Read moreUnfortunately I had a pretty poor experience here. I called in our order of two gyro sandwich combos and one baklava at 6:43 pm on a Saturday night. The woman on the phone tells me it will be about 40 minutes. Okay I understand the wait since it’s a Saturday at dinnertime. I show up at 7:32, there was only one other table occupied and not only is our food not ready, the cook had to go start preparing it after he asked what I ordered. So while I waited about 15 minutes, I noticed there were two dirty tables and a full garbage behind me, then the food finally came out. It seems the cook was also working the register this night. Once I got the food it turned out it was just the two sandwiches, no combos with fries, like I ordered or the baklava (which my wife had been looking forward to). I didn’t say anything to the man at this point I just wanted to leave since it had been over an hour since I ordered. In the end, the gyros were decent but nothing too different than what is sold down the road at It’s Greek to Me. We ended up having to get food from Fred Meyer as we just were not satisfied with the two gyros at all. I would not go here again as I feel it was just not clean and well managed at all. Based on this, I am shocked at the level of reviews and I wonder if they...
Read moreAnd being told that it was double meat I ordered three ,to go. After getting our food home I see there is less meat than most gyro places in the state put on a "standard" gyro. Also, I couldn't tell what the meat was (but it was supposed to be lamb seeing as it was sold as a Lamb gyro), due to some curry sauce that not only dyed the meat and odd orange color, but masked it's true flavor. Plus,it was roughly cubed or crumbled, and the pieces you could bite into were gray and without seasonings. I was appalled.I Actually asked my wife what we'd eaten. She said it looked like an emaciated gyro, covered in an orange sauce, that tasted bad. Then we both said something about the dine in gyros on people's plates looking "fatter" and having less salad and more meat than ours.I didn't mind the taste, except I was expecting a gyro. Good luck out there, nothing is decent anymore, and everyone is scamming in order to survive. I seriously suspect that we would have been happy had we eaten in. My wife could have returned her food, and our son could have gotten McDonald's after refusing to eat what HE ORDERED from Gyro bites. I think this meat may have been somebody else's leftover gyro bites, recycled into a new...
