Please be careful using gift cards at Target on Apalachee. This is what happened to us last night.....
We got 2 gift cards (one for $50 and one for $100) from a family member in mail for my boys for Xmas. We let them pick stuff out to use them. Get to register and I open the gift packs right there in line. I hand them to cashier and she didn't even seem to know how to scan them. We had to tell her she needs to scratch to get the "access" number. She kept putting them down on front of her. Well she got the first one scanned, which was the 50 and went through fine. She picks up another and scans it and told me there's only 20 on it. I showed her the receipt showing it was supposed to be $100 on it. She just shrugs. I asked about the other card she had in front of her, she just picked it up and told me it's for "store credit". I asked if there was a way to compare card numbers to the receipt and she told me "not really". She didn't seem to care, or seem to try to help figure out what's wrong, I have bad anxiety that I just paid the rest in cash (that I wasn't supposed to touch bc it was emergency money), and left. I contacted my family member thinking maybe she sent the wrong one, but she said she only bought the 2 at that time and couldn't have been her. After getting home, we looked better and investigated on our own and noticed the 2 cards did look different, and the one card that was wrong didn't match the numbers on gift/card receipt. So we went back to target today to talk to the manager and she didn't really seem to concerned either. Just gave us a number to call, but of course they can't do anything either bc we weren't the original purchasers and don't have the original receipt. So now we're out $80.
So just watch and keep you're eye on your gift cards when handing them to cashiers......don't know if she was intentionally scamming people or just really not paying attention and accidentally grabbed wrong card, but she didn't seem to care. All I wanted was for the manager to look at cameras but they don't give a **.
Happy holidays! Bad enough I'm struggling financially along with many others, we...
Read moreI went to the RDR Optometric Care P.C. at this Target location. While I was not going to write a review, I feel due to recent updates it is only fair to notify those considering seeing this Eye Care facility what experiences they may face. I gave this location and experiences two stars because they were able to give me some good discounts for my glasses/contacts and I know that is not always easy. During my actual appointment, the doctor made multiple remarks about my anxiety and that she was "surprised" I wasn't on anxiety medication. She spoke down to me in a way that made me feel awful. I have no idea where that kind of audacity or entitlement would come from in an eye doctor but they had to run my insurance multiple times for it to go through. I told her this and she started the appointment before my insurance was approved and I was very nervous I'd be paying out of pocket for the visit. She said that the insurance would be through just fine, and while it did, I was still very nervous going to a doctor appointment during (what was) the beginning of COVID. It was their first day back open and I understood the confusion they were having, I felt her bedside manner was inappropriate. I chose not to write a review about this experience because I honestly just wanted to forget it. However, today I received a letter in the mail stating my personal account information was compromised. It states a "hacker" essentially logged into the scheduling system and obtained access to patient "full name, contact information, appointment date and time, and doctor or appointment notes that may indicate information related to eye care treatment, such as prescriptions, health conditions, or procedures." I would not recommend this location for the...
Read moreI’m a loyal Target customer, but this location puzzles me. They’re CONSTANTLY out of stock of things I get regularly that are in stock at the other locations that are quite a haul and further from city center. My drive up experiences have been more inconvenient than going in the store lately (waits as long as the time it might take to pick up the items), wrong item in the bag (had to come back to the store to return it, couldn’t exchange because what I actually wanted was out of stock). There are other issues, but I don’t have the time to tap them out.
Not sure if new management or new corporate changes/policies could be a the reason? I’ll always be a customer, but I find myself shopping at Target less often now because the convenience trade-off for buying from this location just isn’t there as reliably as it used to be. As time goes in since I last left this review, stocking issues are just so consistently bad at this store. It can be infuriating, especially because my schedule causes me to have to be so reliant on this store and the drive up option. So many items are still often only available at the other stores in the city that require you put a lot of time and gas into driving to and fro. What in the world would it take for this store to be as well stocked...
